I was overcharged on an unsigned invoice for an amount not agreed on for a service not necessary. I spoke with the merchant several times just to get an invoice, then was given a run-around about it not being addressed to the correct Manager, and never received a response, so assumed that it was resolved. I expected that the solution added to my tank was part of the required county inspection and service provided at no cost to me. I scratch-signed their fine print iPad service agreement expecting it was for the $276.00 hundred dollar "inspection", then was overcharged for a not agreed additional amount of $311. What a scam!

I am looking to get reimbursed the $3930.20 I had to pay Full Speed Plumbing to fix the problem that A + Septic created. I was having a blockage in my plumbing so I contacted A + Septic to see when we last got our tank pumped. We have used them ever since we bought our house in 2009. Ot was last pumped in 2020, and at that time they did repairs on two of the baffles. The main baffle going from the house to the septic tank got so clogged I had to call a plumber to go underneath the house, cut a pipe to install a clean out, and jet out the pipes to clear it. I have pictures and videos that show there is still an issue with the baffle because even after doing everything the plumber did, there is still a large ball of toilet paper at the top of the baffle which is not supposed to happen. It is supposed to go straight down into the tank. I reached out and spoke to the operations manager ****** on 2/28/23 and he said he would look into it and call me back after he spoke to his tech that did our repairs. Apparently he thought the tech would remember something that they did almost 3 years ago. He said they take pictures, which isnt true because my husband was outside the entire time they were working and said they didnt take any photos and not only that, but they left a piece of pvc pipe inside our septic tank and when my husband asked about it they said its good for helping things disintegrate. Since 2/28 I have placed multiple phone calls to ****** and have gotten zero response. He is avoiding talking to me. Not even an offer to come take a look at the baffle and correct their work. I feel if their job would have been done correctly, this expense would have been totally avoided. I would like them to fix their mistake and reimburse me for my plumbing repair bill that was caused by them.

      Dear Better Business Bureau,

I am writing regarding complaint #********.  Thank you for assisting in resolving *********************** concerns.  I have looked into the matter personally and the following is A+ Services response:

      Dear ********************,

Thank you for raising your concerns.  I know how frustrating it can be to have to deal with unexpected house repairs.  That is why I do my best to make sure A+ Services provides just that - top-of-the line services intended to ease the stress of the unexpected.

Please know that I value your patronage and I have personally investigated your complaint.

First, it appears there may be a misunderstanding.  The baffles we installed are not the cause of the lodged toilet paper referenced in your complaint, nor are they the cause of the build up in your mainline that was most recently addressed by Full Speed Plumbing.  As I understand it, your issues stem from problems with your drain field.

My technician identified the concern on December 3, 2020 when you pre-paid for a Drain Field Assessment.  The assessment performed on December 8, 2020 confirmed there was an issue, however you chose not to address it at the time.

Your septic system uses gravity to separate solids from liquids and then allow the liquids to drain to a drain field.  The problem is that the drain line (aka "tight line") from your septic tank to your drain field is tilted back into the tank which slows the gray water moving through the system.  As a result, the fluid levels inside the tank rise and  back-up into the pipe that comes from the house (aka the "mainline") which will eventually become clogged.

The slow-down and resulting system flooding is what caused the toilet paper to become lodged. It is also what caused the build up in your mainline that you just had jetted by Full-Speed Plumbing. The work performed by Full Speed Plumbing is only a temporary solution.  Unless you address the source of the issue -the back-graded tightline to your drain field - you will continue to need periodic prophylactic interventions such as jetting the drain lines.  If you would like, I will waive the dispatch fee and have someone assess the situation and provide a current quote for repairs.

Second, I looked into why my operations manager, ******,did not get back to you between 2/28 and 3/7 when you filed the BBB complaint.  He reminded me that between 3/1 and 3/7 he was out sick for 2 days and it took 3 days to catch up.  His notes indicate he left you a message on 3/1 at 11:21 am.  It appears you returned his call on 3/7 at 10:28 am and left a message. The notes indicate ****** returned your call about an hour later.  It is my understanding that you told him that you already filed a BBB complaint since leaving your message and insisted I pay for Full-Speed Plumbing's bill.  ****** offered  to send a technician to investigate, but you were upset and insisted the matter be resolved through the BBB complaint process.

I am sorry you are going through this situation. There is never a good time for septic issues and repairs can be costly. It is my hope that A+ Services can make the process a little less stressful.

Please let us know if you would like us to provide a quote.  Also, do not hesitate to reach out to me personally to discuss anything further.

      Sincerely,
      *****************************

I am rejecting this response because: Of course they are going to say whatever they can to not claim liability. ****** NEVER offered to have a tech come out, NEVER offered to unclog the baffle, and did not get back in a timely manner. After my last conversation with him he said he would have the owner call me back ASAP and I have yet to hear from her. I expect to be reimbursed, my baffle to be cleared of the wad of tissue that is there, and I will NEVER be using your company ever again and will do whatever I can to tarnish your already dismal reputation.

      Sincerely,

The owner of the company, ******, and the Manager ****, both went to ********* house to look at the work performed. After seeing what was done, both ****** and **** spoke with ******** letting her know that this is not something A+ has done, but Speed Plumbing did. When ******** reached out to us initially, we could not fit her on the schedule as fast as she had hoped, that is when she called Speed Plumbing to come do the work. Speed Plumbing charged her for a hydro ****** and installed a cleanout underneath the house. All ******** simply needed was an inlet baffle clean out. While **** and ****** were at Michelles house, **** dug up the inlet baffle in about 1 minute, lifted the baffle to show ******** how to unplug blockage in the tank for the future by simply using the end of a broom stick or stick. **** also ************************* a picture of a septic system and informed her how they work. ****** has called Speed Plumbing many times and spoke with the Manager as well as the Receptionist and they have still failed to contact ********. We have offered to pump her septic, as well as install a new inlet baffle clean out at a discounted price.

If there are any questions or concerns, please contact me.

      Thank you,

************************* ************************************** of A Plus Plumbing Services, I purchased a garbage disposal and kitchen faucet for installation. He convinced me to go to ********** for additional parts. While I was gone the garbage disposal was switched for a cheaper model. Plus the receipt was on my bed, also gone. This much cheaper model, I do not even know if its new or used, it makes a lot of noise. He provided pipes to restore a leaky drain, I purchased everything else and it cost me $1,825.45. I want this guy to replace my original disposal. I don't even know if he took anything else from my home

      Better Business Bureau:

My drainpipes in the kitchen were licking, the garbage disposal stopped working and the kitchen faucet no longer moved correctly, plus my dishwasher had not worked in years. I decided to fix my kitchen,so, I purchased a new kitchen faucet and garbage disposal. I hired A Plus Plumbing Services to install the faucet, garbage disposal and the kitchen drain system.  They would provide the pipes to fix the drainage system. They made a bid of $1,825.45 for the job, but I needed to get additional parts, saying, what dont you trust use?.  They printed the name of the part, like a fool, I went after this part.  When I returned, they said it was not the right one, then gave me a picture of the part. When I returned, they grabbed it and put into place, done, total time they spent one hour.  I asked about the garbage disposal; he toured it on, sounded like a freight train, he said it was very noisy.  After they left, I kept thinking about that very noisy garage disposal and checked under the sink. I had purchased the top-of-the-line ****, but they switched to a much cheaper model, with the sound of it I am not even sure it is new.  And the guarantee they left was for the faucet, but not one for the garbage disposal.  So, for an hours work, they provided about a $100 at most in parts, sold/ witched disposal and who knows what else they took form my home. I figure for an hour they made $1,700. Do not trust these guys, they are cheats and liars AVOID them.  Yes I was a fool for trusting them. They over charge, plus they are NOT trustworthy.

On October1, 2021 the business installed a shower valve assembly. I had agreed to a price of $1,500.00 which I thought rather high, but the technician said that he would install a American Standard quality device with a lifetime limited warranty and a price of $400.00 plus, so I agreed. The tech was running late and I paid the agreed upon price. It wasn't until I returned home and read the invoice sent to me by the technician that I realized he had installed a valve with a one year warranty and of a significantly lesser quality. Approximately $130.00 retail. I emailed the tech and requested a invoice with the price of parts and labor listed separately. He did not respond to my request. I called the business on October 6, 2021 and talked with the complaints person who took my statement and told me someone would get back to me on Monday. If I had not heard from them by noon I was to call. I did call and the person was out ill. I called several times more and was told the service manager would get back to me. Finally, on October 18, 2021 the service manager called, I explained my complaint and he said he would get with the owner and get back to me. No one has called to attempt to resolve my complaint. I originally thought the technician simply made a mistake that a reputable business would quickly resolve. I am not confident now that was a mistake. I only want what I agreed to purchase and want the company to install what was promised.

      Good morning,

I am writing in response to complaint number ******** filed by Mr *******.

Let me start by apologizing for the delayed response. We had some turnover recently and one of those employees was the primary contact for BBB correspondence. Thank you for making sure this got to us in time to respond.

After reviewing the complaint and the job, there seems to have been some confusion or miscommunication about the part that was installed and/or our flat rate billing. We reached out to Mr. ******* and offered to refund him $400 and provide him info on the manufacturers warranty and our 1 year parts & labor warranty. He indicated that he would rather have a specific replacement part ordered and installed instead of a refund.  After discussion, we reached out again and offered to order and install the part that the customer wants. He seemed happy with this resolution and indicated he would be satisfied once the part is installed. We are ordering the part and will contact Mr ******* to schedule the install once we have received the part.

      Thank you
