I hate to give bad reviews but this one is deserved. ****, the man who installed the invisible fencing, was great. Nothing against him. I talked with the owner, ****, prior to purchasing. We agreed on putting the box outside by my heat pump AC that had an outlet. He said it would be no problem. When **** came over he told me he didnt have a box for outside since **** didnt tell him and it needed to go into my garage apartment that is a rental. Looking back I should have called ****, the owner, right then. **** installed the unit in the apartment which I had no clue was so huge. Also, I cant just walk into the apartment to deal with the fence since it is a rental. **** was done after 1.5 hours later. He helped with training and I was happy until I went in the garage apartment and saw the huge box after he left. My bad. Additionally, **** put an *tra small collar on my pup. It was very tight. I told him it was too tight. When put on it would make him choke. **** said the collars are not great with small dogs since the * small and small dont overlap well and he didnt have a small collar or he would use. Over the next few weeks I noticed that my pup had lost fur and had a sore on his neck. I called **** the owner and told him my two issues 1. Need the small collar and 2. need the unit moved outside where we had agreed. I assumed this would not be a problem after paying 2K for the system. I told him the two issues and then said I dont mean to complain. His response was yet here you are complaining. He said it would cost me $300 to move the box outside where we initially agreed. He said the box itself would cost me $85 additionally since he had to buy it. He said it was $35 at ********** but it would cost me $85 since he had to buy it. I was going to ********** the next day and asked him for the item number so I could buy it to save money. He said that he would charge me $85 for it on top of the $300 to move the unit no matter whether I bought the case or not.

Unfortunately I as the owner have to disagree with several of the things posted here. Ultimately as a business we strive to leave our customers happy and satisfied, but we also deserve to be treated fairly as a business and as people. I will try to cover all of this with some detail but efficiency. *** was quoted $2000 for an installation. We might or might not have spoken about installation of a watertight box for an exterior mount, however, it was never included in the quoted price nor in the installation instructions or notes. This would be common, as installing one costs more than normal and it's not the best way to install a transmitter. **** met with *** to install, and he reports giving her the option of the watertight box installation on the exterior of the rental unit, as that unit was the best location due to the brick walls of her house. He reports to me that when told the watertight box would cost extra, she okay'd his plan to install the transmitter inside. **** also sizes the collars to the dogs when doing the training, so when *** reported that she would need a different size collar, I told her that I believe **** to have it sized correctly, but that if she wanted one I could mail her one for the standard cost. She paid this and I didn't hear about it again until now. She also decided she did not want the transmitter mounted inside at least weeks after her install was completed, if not a month. I let her know that there would be a charge involved to move the transmitter, as it would require additional work, and the cost of the box. Total cost of the watertight box and required extension cord comes out to about $55-$60 after tax, I explained this a couple times, and told her we normally charge $100 as its reasonable for the time to get the equipment from the store, set it up and wire it at the customers house. I told her I would instead only charge $75 plus the service call. During that call she repeatedly complained about having to pay for work to be done, after several occasions of which the quotation she reported above occurred, although I believe I said, "***, you are complaining though", in response to her saying she never complains. We scheduled the visit to fix the issues, I told her I would try and be as reasonable about costs as I could. She cancelled that appointment day of. I emailed to check in about rescheduling, no response. A couple weeks went by without word, until she called Dog Guard manufacturing. I spoke with them, reached out to her, and within just a minute or two while trying to explain something, was told to "Go to hell" and hung up on. *** then proceeded to spam me with text messages while I was working and told her I did not have the space at that moment to text back and forth, I later, knowing she was extremely upset and unhappy, offered to wave the service call fee of $200, and just have her pay the $75 for the exterior watertight box and put this all behind us. I was then met with more abusive language and have since taken space from the issue.I have had many occurrences over the years of customers wishing to change things, or similar, I have treated them as I have *** and tried to make things reasonable for them, but also fair for us as a business as we have costs involved. I literally just did this with a customer that decided she wanted to move her wire from the agreed to point, she agreed to pay what was necessary, and I ended up only charging her half our normal service fee for the respect and care she treated us with and because the service call was relatively minor in scope of work. I have never had a problem like this with a customer. I hope anyone reading this takes my words to heart.
