I applied for a low income apartment and was told they prefer a credit score of 760+, which, is exceptionally great credit these are low income places with low income restrictions. I was told I would not get an automatic denial over a lower score when I was honest and told them I didnt have a credit score from lack of credit they assured me it wouldnt be an automatic denial and took $50 from me to run my info and then told me they denied me over not having a high enough credit score. Im not sure why they would expect any low income person to have exceptional credit. I am literally being denied a roof over my head, simply because I dont have an exceptional credit history. I work full time and have literally suffered thru homelessness due to not meeting rental qualifications on my own. Im a single female, I make $16.00 working full time+ and I have zero criminal history, and I some how dont deserve a roof over my head because I dont have a 760+ credit score or dont make 3x most monthly rents in income if I cant qualify for low income, Im literally left homeless and thats ridiculous when I work full time and am a positively contributing member of society. My fianc literally took his own life because he was so tired of living this way its truly unfair! Ive been thru enough! I was upfront with this company and told them I did not have a credit score of 760+ but I work full time and meet every other requirement they have and have the cash in hand for the rent plus deposit. They took my $50 for the application fee and then flat out denied me over what they claimed wouldnt prevent me from renting. I also had to literally call them for over a month straight, non stop, to even get this far with them. At first, they took my money and application and held onto it for over two weeks. I had to call and deal with 3 different people from this place, ***, ***** and *******. I called them daily and kept getting no response, it was a complete waste of time and money
