I brought my ****************** to the shop for repairs to my brakes. They repaired the rear brakes and returned the vehicle. Two hours later my wife and I were driving to an event and the brakes went soft. We returned the vehicle to the shop and were upset due to the fact our brakes stopped working again. The employee there named ******************* then treated me like I was wrong saying he didn't care that we could've been hurt and called us stupid and that we didn't know what we were talking about. He then tried to blame work i had done from **** over a year ago for being the cause of the problem. The vehicle was under warranty so luckily he had to correct the issue even though he said he would not and then threw the keys at me. He then reluctantly took the keys and said he'd have the mechanics look at it but if wasn't there fault we would have words. I left my vehicle and two days later they returned the vehicle stating on the paperwork that the problem was the brake master cylinder and that it was replaced. I then proceeded to take the car to the **** dealership to get it checked out because I didn't believe they did the work. The **** dealership did an inspection and found that they did not replace the brake master cylinder and that the front brakes were now leaking from the calipers. They stated this on their paperwork. I had them fix my brakes and ended up paying **** dollars for the repair. I feel Aamco should be held responsible for the cost of the repair due to the falsified paperwork which could have ended in a car accident due to the fact we were under the impression our brakes were fixed. Thankfully nothing happened but we were still lied to about an intregal part of our vehicle and negligence could have caused us our lives. If reimbursement isn't possible then heavy fines or removal of the employees who allowed this should follow suit. Thankyou for your time and I hope you can help us make this right.Initial Complaint

I took my vehicle to aamco transmission in ****** **. For them to look at it, they said it needed a new transmission so I said ok and paid them $6,000, then I got it back and within 24hrs the same issue occurred that I sent it there for so they took it back, then said it needed a new transfer case, so I said ok paid another $2,500 and had to take out a loan for the money after paying the loan back I was out another $4000, which was through a place they recommended, then it still didnt fix the problem, they said needs a new rear end so I paid for that it didnt fix it, then they said a new front diff, still not fixed, the updated the computer still not fixed, all the while not contacting me to keep me updated, then 12 months later took it to Lakewood shop, I could go into a lot more, but long story short $16,000 later and 17 months I still do not have my vehicle back, not to mention the time i missed work because i didnt have my vehicle or the fact that i had to get another new car with money i didnt really have, I would like ****** back for the time I missed work and the money I paid them, I think that is more then fair after over a 1-1/2 yrs, I will also be contacting an attorney and taking them to court is you cannot resolve this issue, thank you very much for your time, feel free to call or email if you have any questions, happy holidays.Initial Complaint

On April 28th 2022, I paid AAMCO Transmission $1270.57 to do repairs on a car that I just bought that needed some immediate repairs. Not only did they not do all the work they claimed, they upscaled the parts prices by 100% or more on all parts we had to buy through them, they during the repairs, broke a clip on a coolant hose and they plain just didn't put a mount bracket back on. Now I never said that they did it on purpose, but the fact remains that while my car did have issues when it went into that shop, coolant problems was NOT one of them. When I called to have it made right they were rude and nasty and said that they weren't going to fix a thing, I called the owner to talk to him about it and he said he was only entertaining me and my phone call but did not have to do a thing I needed to talk to the shop manager and I said well you are the own and by all means can do something to make this right. I even said I would at least pay the mechanic to do it so he didn't go unpaid, I feel however they needed to make this right. At least meet me halfway if nothing else. The shop manager was rude and nasty and he said "how about I just push your car out in the parking lost and you can come get it and I am not fixing a thing." They didn't make this right and wanted to charge me more money to fix a problem that they created, which left me in a panic when my car overheated leaving me stranded 30 miles from home almost. I have also found fluids unchanged they swear they did and I was charged for but when my husband double checked their work he found that they did not do what they said and that is just wrong. We are not the first people that has had an experience like this with this company. I want my money, the $1270.57 refunded or at least half, but I feel their rudeness and lying about work being done needs to stop and now and they need to understand it is wrong to do this to people because it is not right! *********************** is my witness as well as my son ***********.Initial Complaint

Friday, May 6, 2022 ************* VENDOR: AAMCO TRANSMISSION--LA ********** WA1900.00 Total $900.00 On this day, ****** / Lakewood (of ****************) AAMCO employee "*****" ********** asked for my credit card number on the phone because he said he will call his "private third party" vendor to find out if they have the transmission I asked for in stock and put it on hold. He said he would call me back to get my authorization to charge my card. He did not have authorization to charge my card at any time. When he did charge my card, he did not inform me that there were conditions that applied such as a $600 re-stocking fee and in addition to a lead time.To this day, I have not received a written CONFIRMATION CODE / RECEIPT. On May 9, 2022, "*****" refused to refund this charge and attempted to bargain me a $300 credit for the $600 non-refundable restocking fee. I disputed this transaction with my credit card company on May 9, ********************************** queue. AAMCO **************** *********** is aware of this matter.
