We had reservations at this hotel for Dec 5-7 2021. The owner charged us about $650 for the 2 nights. I questioned the rate as it is posted at $209 per night for the 2 bedroom suite. When I questioned the owner, he said that is the normal rate not the December rate. However, the December rate shows on their website as the last 2 weeks of December. Their website shows the following: TWO BEDROOM SUITE - $199/ NIGHT Two separate rooms with one queen-size bed in each room, with one common bathroom. Some of the amenities include a TV, a DVD and CD player and a wall-mounted electric fireplace in the main bedroom. This room is on the mountainside of the building by our sun deck.Everyday Rates - $199.00 / night Icefest, Christkindlemarkt, and the last two weeks in December, Sunday-Thursday rates $269.00 / night Oktoberfest, Weekends in December and New Years rates - $289.00 / night.This is definitely a bait and switch. He is very rude, unethical, and condescending. He told me that I needed a therapist. He said he would show me their rates on the website and he was going so fast I could not read them, then he said he was done showing me. I started video recording when he told me I needed a therapist. I researched reviews for over 2 hours and there is a lot of complaints about this hotel. Other people stated that he was rude and was yelling at one couple with their kids present. There was only 2 chairs in the room for 4 people. We had to go outside and get 2 chairs that were dirty and ***** for the other 2 people. There is a light out in the bathroom and it is very dirty behind it. The carpet has not been cleaned by the baseboards. The bed is held up by 4 x 4 boards underneath. It is not a $322 per night room. It is outdated and not well kept. Motel 6 is better and cheaper even when we take our dogs. I would not have picked it apart had not the owner switched the price and the rudeness and hateful way I was treated. Expedia will not stand behind their customer when I called them to tell them that this happened. Im sure that this is not what you want in your town. He is driving people away. This needs to come to a stop. We would have cancelled our reservation on the spot, however, there is a cancellation fee. Also the room is dirty and when I asked for ice as the paperwork in the room states to go to the front desk, he told me that that he did not have any. My husband is handicapped and he nearly fell climbing the stairs to the room.Its not the money issue as much as the principle of the bait and switch and his rudeness. It definitely is not a $322 room. Please read the reviews and Yelp reviews. This will show you what his customers think of him and his hotel.I would have left a negative -5 stars if it was available Will never stay there again.
