      Steer away from the company, they will send your return to a different location and not refund you . They are a scamming company !

      I will never spend another dime at Seattle Coffee Gear. I purchased a Miele automatic espresso machine in 2020 that has sat in their repair center for NINE MONTHS. Their communication with me on this service request has been abysmally bad. Over the holiday weekend they emailed an invoice for $705, requesting online payment, while refusing to answer my question in multiple emails asking WHEN ***************** is open for me to pick up my machine. Instead of answering my question, they fed me all kinds of misinformation about the warranty status and deluged me with irrelevant word salad. To say that I'm disgusted doesn't go far enough. They are pathetic.

      We purchased an espresso maker from Seattle Coffee Gear online on October 26, 2022. The machine failed after about two months. It could not complete a cleaning cycle, and because the cleaning cycle is mandatory, the machine becomes useless if it isnt cleaned. I had purchased an extended warranty, so I contacted SCG about the failure. They told me that since the machine was still under the manufacturers warranty, I must deal with the manufacturer. The manufacturer was difficult to deal with, but they did attempt a repair, which failed immediately after the machine was returned. At this point, I wrote SCG to demand either a working machine or my money back. Seattle Coffee Gear did not respond. After more emails back and forth to the manufacturer, they sent a second machine of the same model. This one failed after about a month. At some point I wrote a second email to SCG. They did not respond to this one either. SCG accepted $600 of my money for which I expected to obtain a machine that makes espresso. As the seller, it is their responsibility to deliver a working machine. They are not simply a conduit through which my money flows to an inept manufacturer. A machine that has worked about 2 months out of the last 5 does not fulfill any implied contract with me, the buyer. Not answering my emails seems be a sign of contempt for the out-of-town buyer.

      Do not buy from this company. I bought an open box machine and it was shipped to my house. Website guaranteed product to work and to be tested. Product did not work and just leaked water from bottom of machine. Contacted customer service and send a video and they said machine is broken. They dont have one to send so they will refund my money. I talked to customer service manager about the tremendous inconvenience and embarrassment this caused (Valentines Day gift for my wife ) her response was you take a risk buy open box. This machine was obviously never tested and sold to me broken. They do not stand by their products and do not care how much they inconvenience their customer. Do not buy from this **********************!

      Hello *******! I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience buying an open box machine. For the record, we do thoroughly repair, clean, and test every machine before it's released for sale. We ship over ***** orders a day and several hundred refurbished/open box machines every month and 98% have no issue. On occasion the rough trip via small parcel can jar something loose and cause a leaking issue or some other issue. As you experienced we stand behind our product and if there is an issue we will fully refund the customer but given open box machines are very limited in availability we often can not replace the machine. You also are taking our CS manager's comments out of context. Any machine you purchase new or refurbished has the risk of not working upon arrival as they are just machines after all and there are always a small percentage that are defective. All we can do as a retailer is refund the customer or replace the machine which we always do. Best of luck in your coffee/espresso journey!

      The response by the company is a cookie cutter response they have used on multiple sites. Of course they are going to blame someone else. The funny thing is the dont address the inconvenience that was caused which again goes to my statement that they dont care about their customers. More so there are plenty of reviews with similar complaints to mine. Do your research and buy from a company that cares about its customers.

      I have only received defective product from this business. Long hold times for phone support and essentially no quality control.
