Contractors were employed to repair interior damage to the house as a result of a tree falling on our roof in November, and work began in January of this year. About halfway through the job, I put a hold on work due to the insurance company neglecting to return my calls and reimburse me for the work. I contacted the insurance commissioner and they inspired the insurance company to fulfill their contract and pay for the work, wherein we resumed work on the house. The contractors and I were in constant communication through this and were willing to work with me through the trouble. However, after resuming work, they have been uncommunicative and their work quality has drastically declined. Throughout, billing has been unclear and not well documented, with duplicate charges. Before the pause, they were able to complete repairs to the insulation and drywall in both the garage and the master bedroom, but had not yet started on the hardwood floors, which have been a parade of mistakes, beginning with the selection of incorrect material, which had to be exchanged. New materials arrived, and no resuming of work. I reached out and was told another three weeks out. When finally work began, it was sub-par. Underlayment was missing from beneath the fireplace surround, the floor had not been prepared and had intermittent nails and pocks in the subfloor, making the surround lay incredibly uneven. Abutting layers of hardwood sat up to ?" offset, making sharp edges and unsightly seams. The wrong sawblade was being used, resulting in cuts that were not straight and pockets of space between boards. No tapping block or pull bar was being used to set boards, instead hammering was done directly on the side of the boards, resulting in dings. Finally, the board abutting the fireplace was miscut and had to be redone, for which they attempted to charge me twice. The new one is not any better. When told this would not do, the contractors abandoned the job. I haven't heard from them since.Business response

Weve been in constant communication with ********* and she states after we send her a reimbursement check shes going to take the complaint off of BBB.
