I hired anHVAC company to complete a small commercial job for me in **********. When it was time to have them get a permit they stalled me for two weeks before admitting they are not currently licensed to complete the job and get the required permit. They advertise as if they are a licensed contractor even though there license was suspended in December of 2023. They are not currently licensed and bonded and are working illegally. I requested reimbursement and they stopped responding.Business response

Hello,
Firstly, ********************* never wanted to resolve the issue as he never answered our calls. We tried to come to an agreement but he wouldnt talk/communicate with DVAC. We were hired to do this job and we completed it. Nothing we said or tried to communicate with *********************( D&E Construction LLC) would make him happy unless we gave him a full refund. Secondly, we were hired as the subcontractor in this job and as a contractor, he would have to communicate if there was an issue with our work. Thirdly, ********************* was blackmailing us( see screenshots attached). He was asking to give him $6,294.25 so he doesnt go to L&I. Fourthly, the job was finished in full and there is nothing wrong with our work. ********************* is also contacts us as D&E Construction LLC business owner and he filed complain as a consumer with his personal name. Please contact ***** at ************ or ***** at ************ if you have any other questions. Thank you!Customer response

I am rejecting this response because: My only response is how could the job ever be completed when DVAC did commercial work for my company in ********** knowing they could not pull a permit and complete the job. I talked to Labor and Industries and was informed they have a history of doing work they are not licensed to do. Look at the L&I website under the license number they advertise with and see for yourself. I was told they were in the process of applying for a permit that was a lie. I talked to the city of ********** and they informed me no one has applied for a mechanical permit concerning the job DVAC worked on for me. I gave DVAC the opportunity to refund the money in full I paid up front so I could hire a licensed contractor to complete the work. As far as I'm concerned DVAC is a company that is illegally advertising as being licensed when they know they are not. I have the messages from DVAC stringing me along pretending they are in the process of getting a permit when anyone can look up the jobsite address on Mybuildingpermit and see there has never been an application for a mechanical permit or talk to the City of ********** as I did. DVAC gives contractors a bad name.
Sincerely,

I was in constant contact with DVAC concerning the permitting on our job . They assured me they were in the process of getting the permit until finally admitting last weekend that they could not as they are not licensed to do HVAC work in ****************. Attached are the texts from DVAC saying they are applying for a permit. They are unlicensed to do commercial or residential HVAC in ****************.
