I purchased a 2008 Lexus RX from Select Motors on February 5th, 2022. I placed a deposit of $2000 and spent $518.88 on a mechanic repair. 2/8/22 the engine light came on. I emailed the dealership explaining the light had come on and if the car had any previous issues. Dealer called and asked me to bring the car in next week to have his mechanic look at it. The car was starting to show major issues. I would start the car, place it in reverse and then when I tried to place the car in drive the car wouldnt go anywhere. I would have to turn the car off, restart the car and then place the car straight into drive from my previous stalled position. 2/14/22 dropped the car off with the dealer. Got the car back on 2/17/22. Dealer said it was a sensor problem and wanted to split the mechanic **** of $564.68 (Mechanic **** has been uploaded - SEA PAC AUTO). I did not agree to split the ****. 2/18/22 the very next morning the engine light came back on. I emailed the dealer on 2 separate occasions because I was upset. He never responded. In the meantime I took it to 2 other mechanics to get second opinions and they both said that the car had a blown head gasket and they both suggested having the engine replaced. I have attached all (3) mechanic invoices for your review. The 2 mechanic shops I took it to left diagnostic notes on the invoices. 2/24/22 I finally had to get the financial company involved because the dealer would not respond to me. Once I got ****************** involved the dealer finally emailed me on 3/3/22. Long story short I didnt trust this guy any more. I asked him to send all of our communications via email for records. He went silent and ignored me once again. 3/7/22 ****************** updated me that the dealer repurchased the loan. Same day, One of his employees called me and said they were picking up the car. I was at work and the car was left at my home as it was unsafe to drive. They picked up the car. Now I am out $2500, my trade in value and no car.
