We retained Square Foot, LLC to perform work on their residence in *******, **********. After Square Foot, LLC delayed the completion of the work and performed work that failed to meet industry standard workmanship, we reached a compromise with Square Foot, LLC. We entered into a written settlement agreement which is attached. Square Foot, LLC was to pay us a refund of $8,100.00 within 10 days of mutual execution of the agreement. Square Foot, LLC failed to pay the agreed amount and instead, only paid $1,000.00. Square Foot, LLC then made numerous promises to pay the remaining $7,100.00. Each time Square Foot, LLC promised to pay the remaining balance, it failed to do so.Further Details - Square Foot, LLC took our deposit in February 2023, did not perform the work promised and that we paid for, nor did they ever give us a schedule as to when it was going to be completed. Their communication is terrible at best, they never answer or call back, and make promises they cannot fulfil. The work they did was terrible craftsmanship, every time it was a different worker, completed without permits and the bathroom needs to be completely redone as the grout is already cracking. We tried to amicably part ways in April 2023 but again ** made false promises to refund our money, even after signing an agreement in September 2023 saying he would refund a portion of our deposit. After further research on the owner of the company I found out that the owner ***************** has an extensive criminal background for theft. Clearly served time didnt change his behaviors as he is still stealing money from customers and not performing the work promised.

To clarify your question no this is not in litigation. We tried to come to an amicable resolution ourselves with ** from Square foot, the owner. However, he was nonresponsive and did not want to meet us halfway. We then had our lawyer reach out in hopes to get him to resolve the situation. He was responsive to our lawyer, and we came to a mutual agreement and had him sing that agreement. However, since then he has again been nonresponsive and did not fulfill his end of the agreement. Which is why I reached out to the BBB to see if we were able to get PJ to fulfill his agreement without going down the legal route. IF this is unsuccessful, we unfortunately will have to file a lawsuit against PJ/Square Foot.

Hope this helps, if you need any additional information please let me know.

The project permit expires Nov.15 of 2022. This job has not been finished up to now, Square Foot company has collected all money 6 months ago when only 10% of job was left that time. Up to today, I have not received any commitment date to finish this project.

I contacted Square Foot, LLC in Nov, 2022 to repair wind damage to my house. I have made two deposits to them totaling $12,585.60 in exchange for a start date, By Jan. 2023, no work had been done and no start date given. Consequently, I requested a refund on Jan. 27, 2023. Square Foot has acknowledged the request but does not issue a refund.. My last request to them was on Feb. 17, 2023 which they have ignored. I have also filed a complaint with L&I.

I am rejecting this response because: This is another vague response from Square Foot. I have waited long enough for the return of ***********. Consequently, I have initiated a claim against this *****************.

      Sincerely,

We had our upstairs bathroom being repaired by Square Foot LLC, during the repair a door stopper with hinge pin was accidentally dropped into our plumbing pipes, the door was removed after the toilet was already capped and the only time the toilet was uncapped was while we were out of town, that would be the only time the door stopper wouldve been able to get into the plumbing system. When attempting to rehang the door they were unable to with the old hardware because some was missing, they used new hardware since they could not find the missing pieces(which were subsequently in the pipes). The business offered to jet out system but never came with jetting and we had a plumber come into and locate the jammed stopper and had to jackhammer part of our driveway and cut the pipes to remove it, after repairs were made we reached out to Square Foot LLC for reimbursement as the only time the stopper couldve got into the plumbing was when we werent home and acknowledged that the only time it couldve happened was when their workers had removed the door and uncapped the toilet. After correspondence *************** the owner ***************** will not accept responsibility for the accident that occurred. We have filed a claim with their insurance company.
