March 27th 2023 I rented a hotel room for ****** earlier in the day then it was needed they were unable to provide me the service I need when it came time to use the room and so I requested a refund and they refused since I had had the room for over an hour even though the room was unoccupied the hours that they are saying i had it for and since I was not able to use the room for its intended purpose and did not use there room in any manner I don't understand how I can be refused a refund.Business response

Guest has filed a credit card dispute and we gave full detail to the credit card company and the credit card company settled on Village Inn & Suites favor. Also customer stated this room was not occupied however they did occupy the room briefly and left this room with cleaning required from our housekeepers.
Guest now has filed complaint to BBB.
Here is Village Inn & Suites reply to the complaint.
The room was full of glitter, all-over the Jacuzzi tub, bed,sofa, floors, etc
--Jacuzzi Tub: had to be cleaned/scrubbed over three times to get all the glitter off.
-- Bed, sofa: vacuumed several times to get the glitter off.
-- Floors: sweeping and vacuuming repeatedly until all the glitter was picked up.
--linens: had to wash several times to get the glitter off the blankest, sheets, and towels.
The management decided No Deposit Refund will be issued to the guest under these reasons.
Room was under no condition to re-sell for the night of, so room cost was not refunded.
Deposit was NOT refunded due to above extra cleaning required from the housekeepers. The workload was more than their normal amount. Our housekeepers usual allotted time per room is 30 minutes to an hour.
