Account # ******** Patient Name ***************************** Date of service was 04-19-2023 Insurance was processed 06-02-2023 We were approved for financial aid at ******************* 08-07-2023 for 6 months with all care covered. We were never made aware of any outstanding bill until 01-2024 when the financial aid would have expired and my deductible would restart. Now North Sound Emergency Medicine is demanding payment of $280.39 and threatening collections.I called on 02-02-2024 at 8:10 a.m., Was on hold for 32 minutes. Once I finally got a representative on the phone there was no explanation as to why it had taken almost a year for us to be billed. When she was not able to explain this to me I requested a supervisor, which I was denied to begin with. When I was insistent to speak to a supervisor I was transferred to another line that rang apx 5 times, was answered but then promptly hung up on.I refuse to sit on hold again for an additional 30+ minutes just to be hung up on again. Please help with resolution to this matter. We do not feel that this is a valid bill and cannot get resolution via phone calls. If you need any documentation that I may have I would be happy to send it to you.I can be reach anytime with the phone number provided in this form.Thank you for your help and time ***********************Initial Complaint

We took our daughter to the emergency room at ************************ in ********, **, on 7/15/2021. We provided our insurance information as well as our contact information during this visit. We were billed by the facility. We never received a **** from the ***** Fork Emergency ***************** At the end of October, we received a notice from ***************************** which stated we owed $492 from this visit to the ***** Fork Emergency ***************** We would have been happy to pay this **** in a timely manner, but were surprised to receive this collections notice.I have now been attempting to get the claim from that visit sent to my insurance company (********) and the billing group that this physicians group uses has not sent it. They at first claimed they couldn't send me anything because my physical address was "blocked." They have stated that they have now sent over the claim to my insurance company multiple times but my insurance copy has still not received it.Every time I speak with the billing people at ***** Fork Emergency **************** they tell them that they've sent the claim, put the collections on hold and that they'll do it all again. But still it never happens. I don't know what else to do at this point because without the claim, my insurance company cannot pay their portion. They state that if I pay the collections company and the claim is still never received, I will never get reimbursed. I feel this is extremely unfair as I've attempted to do everything I can but am powerless in this situation. Thanks for looking into this.
