I went into Healthsources for a stand chiropractor adjustment and complained about my feet always hurting so they wanted to fit me into some orthopedics. They told me the price would be around $600 and that was too much for me so I declined but I was told my healthcare provider was contacted and would cover the cost of them. After a little while I was told they made the orthopedics for me and I just needed to purchase them now only to find out they were still trying to bill me for the $600 price. I never contacted them about it because I already declined to pay that much but I guess because they had them made even though I declined they decided to mail them to my house then charge the card I used for my regular chiropractor visits without my approval. I still have the unused orthopedics at my house but would like a full refund for these items I did not order and if they need the orthopedics back I can send them even though they are fitted for my feet particularly.Business response

Please be advised that we are in receipt of the aforementioned complaint filed by our patient, ************************************************. When ************************ came to us and was fitted for the orthotics, Her insurance card information was provided and we called Ambetter to confirm her benefits. Ambetter under reference no. A1863114411, and spoke with ******* on 10/6/1922 at 9:00 a.m. at which time she confirmed that the L3000 Orthotics were included in her benefits and requested that we provide them we a preauthorization. On 10/07/2022 we forwarded Ambetter a Preauthorization request and medical necessity as requested. After confirming that the orthotics were covered, on 11/1/2022 we received a denial letter for the orthodics and was advised at this time that since we were not in network the orthotics were not covered. We are continuing to appeal this denial to which they originally stated that they were covered. We have left ************************ numerous messages and have not received any response from her to date.
