Brand new construction, leak was reported with a claimed repair during winter of 2021-2022. As the next winter came around, there was another leak in the same spot but the company refuses to repair and compensate for the flood damage because they blame the painter on removing their material that had been nailed in. They had already made astronomical mistakes in placement of siding by not following the mail marks that are clearly marked in the siding material.

The referenced leak was caught when the roof was in the process of first being installed. The roof has been leak free for over a year and no complaints. We are in the process of figuring out the issue and documenting for our records.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because Guardian has not been amenable to resolution and has no warranty on their work. They have ceased any sort of communication and directed me to approach them only after I have a lawyer.

In my last contact with ***************** he made me aware of a repair quote and breakdown of the repairs another roofing company was going to perform. In the details it was clear that the original design of the roof was the cause of the leak. In my conversations with him he stated that the other roofer said, " The integration of the flashing was no correct". But the repair quote didn't address the integration of the flashing it addressed the slope and design of the roof needing to be altered. This does not fall under a warranty claim it is not an installation error it is a roof design issue.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Two roofing companies and the insurance company are all in agreement that it was faulty workmanship. Insurance wont cover it because of faulty workmanship. The slope is not the problem. There are flat roofs and they dont leak just because they have no slope. We are working with a lawyer to get this resolved as ************************* has been negligent. The roofing company we now use confessed that they have made good money fixing Guardian Roofings previous jobsSincerely,

***************** did explain that he had two roofing companies come look at the "faulty workmanship". In his email and estimate it showed 200 sq ft and some sheathing work needed to be done to reconfigure the section of the roof that was suspected to be leaking. When I asked ***************** why it showed two squares when the affected area was no more than 15 shingles he stated that there had to be some reconfiguring on the slope. When I asked on the difference of the affected area to the squares he stated it wasn't much more to replace the 2 squares. As a roofer I know what I would charge for a repair and redoing a slope, my repair cost for 15 shingles over 132 shingles and sheathing. *********;**** continues to act maliciously with incorrect facts and slanderous statements on reviews that don't reflect the truth. ***************** has intended to cause damage to Guardian Roofing with his slanderous statements along with his hearsay from another roofing company.

I am rejecting this response because: my bad experience with Guardian is not at all slander. I have a kitchen torn up due to their workmanship that per 2 roofing companies and an insurance adjuster was faulty. In the wind, the past couple days we have lost more pieces of flashing so I wouldnt call that great workmanship.

As stated to ***************** the roof repair quote was review by Guardian Roofing and the repair from the other roofing company stated the roof configuration needed to be changed. The affected area was about 10 shingles if that the quote was replacing 2 squares of shingles and reconfiguring a valley that was not draining. Again it was the buildings configuration that needed repair not the one piece that ***************** keeps stating.
