Awful experience and costly!! The only alterations needed to our dress were to pull up the shoulder seam a tad, hem the bottom, fix a couple buttons, check over the dress for any loose items/threads, add bustle/hookup, and clean it. This cost us $500 and ended in POOR quality and a dirty dress. The shoulder seam was shortened, but ***** left raw, open seams. The dress was not hemmed all the way around. Worse of all, the dress was NOT cleaned, even though we were charged for it. As evidence, she told my daugher that a stain would not come out, yet I removed it with just water and a wash cloth. Unfortunately my daughter trusted ***** and didn't look over the dress -- ***** rushed her through the pickup appointment, not even showing her how to do the bustle. Now, 1.5 weeks before the wedding after I got back from vacation, we realized the dress was not cleaned at all. I've had to pay over $200 to get it rush job cleaned. So ***** cost us more money than the dress and a huge amount of stress.Note that she charged us the top of her scale for every line item, even though the work was minimal -- and clearly the quality was LOW, and not trustworthy.I would recommend avoiding this business.

Not sure where to begin. First of all no bridal gown is hemmed all the way around. You only hem the front and leave the train. The only time a bridal gown is hemmed all the way around is if are removing the train, which was not the case here. The bride seemed very happy when she picked up the dress. At any time if she was dissatisfied, if she would have reached out I would have been more than happy to address any issues. She did not need to wait for you to come back from vacation. This was not the case. I would have even had the dress re cleaned at my expense. ( yes it was cleaned the first time). It was a sample gown and quite dingy. As for the shoulder seams. They were lace and came to me with a raw edge which is exactly as I put it back. I could have saved you much undo stress had you reached out with your issues. In fact when you messaged me demanding money or you would leave a bad review, I stated then you could bring it in for me to take a look at. As for the cost, I assume this is the first time you or your daughter has had a wedding gown altered. The cost is not based on how much it has to come in or up. Its based on the type of fabric, amount of layers ect. It would be the same price if it was hemmed 1 inch or 5. My prices are about half what most places would have charged you. I understand you would have no way of knowing that. I have brides come in weekly that tell me they were quoted $1500 plus just for basic alterations. Your daughter will be a beautiful bride, I wish her all the happiness in the world.
