Dear Better Business Bureau Team, I am writing to file a complaint against Travis Industries for misrepresenting the warranty on parts for my fireplace, resulting in significant inconvenience and potential financial loss. I believe Travis Industries has acted in bad faith, and I seek the assistance of the Better Business Bureau to resolve this matter. On January 17, ****, I contacted Travis Industries regarding an issue with a catalytic holder (FPX 44A) for my fireplace, which appeared to be defective. In my communication, I inquired about the warranty coverage for this part. I was assured by *** at Travis Industries that the catalytic holder, along with the mixing screen and catalytic combustor, were covered under a 5-year warranty and that the catalytic converter itself was also covered under warranty. Relying on this information, I initiated a warranty claim with the local distributor where I purchased the parts. They had all the required documentation, including the sales order, and photographs of the defective parts. The assurance of warranty coverage led me to discard the damaged parts, as I believed they would be replaced at no cost. However, contrary to the assurances I received, I am now being informed by Travis Industries that I need to purchase new parts, despite the earlier confirmation that the parts were under warranty. This contradiction not only causes financial strain but also suggests that the company's warranty assurances cannot be trusted.I request that the BBB assist me in holding Travis Industries accountable for their warranty representations. The parts in question should be replaced under warranty as initially confirmed by their representatives. I believe this issue not only affects me but could potentially impact other consumers who might be misled about the warranty coverage of their products.I appreciate the BBB's attention to this matter and look forward to a prompt resolution that upholds consumer rights and corporate responsibility.Sincerely,
