      I contacted BL Landscapes 8/14/22 to landscape my property using ******** messenger. He came out 1/7/23 to discuss what I wanted & price the project. He returned on 2/6/23 to get a check for 50% down payment for the work we'd discussed. He stated they'd do the job "ASAP before the growing season". I contacted him on 5/1/23 on FB messenger asking when they'd schedule my property, and again on 6/2/23 with both responses being "soon". I asked again on FB 6/28/23 'how many jobs were ahead of mine' and received no response.Due to health and financial (retirement) issues I decided to sell my home and downsize. I notified Brian by email of this on 9/30/23 and asked if he and his crew would clean up the property instead to help me sell for a better price. He agreed and they came out on Fri 11/3/23 for approximately 3 hours, and said they'd finish on Monday. He stated that I should get most of my money refunded, since it would be labor and some bark for costs. They returned Mon 11/6/23 for 2 hours, and he said he'd figure the costs and get me my refund. On 11/14/23 I messaged him on ******** asking for my refund and got no response. I called the business on 11/21/23 and left a voice mail asking again for my refund, because I was down to $22.61 in my bank account. I asked that he email, call or message me back as to when I could expect my refund. It's now 11/27/23 and I have had no response and no refund yet. I don't know the exact costs for the work performed, but I should receive a MINIMUM of $17,000 back. I shouldn't have to file a complaint with the BBB to get what's rightfully mine.Their work is exceptional but the lack of communication and follow through are not A+ rating in my opinion. I don't like to complain or harm their reputation, but this is just poor business practices. It wouldn't take long to figure the cost and send my refund, but instead he spends his time posting on FB for future projects. They can't keep up with the current jobs.

      We have been working with Suzi for well over a year planning a project.  Over that time, the scope changed multiple times and we were extremely flexible.  The final change was a big one that required us to change around our scheduling to accommodate the change. Again, not an issue as we try to be very flexible.  However the final change did include refunding a part of the original deposit. Deposits are normally non refundable, however we agreed to refund the difference.  Due to a few issues with the mail and the bank, refunding the money took longer than expected.  To speed the process up, we hand delivered the full refund on January 13th. It has been a pleasure working with **** and we wish her nothing but the best!

      I accept the refund that was hand delivered by the business 5-1/2 weeks after I filed my complaint with the BBB.  However, the business is very difficult to communicate with due to them not following up (or sometimes at all) on a timely basis.  And telling a client you'll do the job ASAP and before the growing season, and then hearing nothing from them for nine months until my plans drastically changed is disheartening.  I know they do amazing work and I wish them nothing but the best from here on out, but they need to work harder on communicating with clients.  I was not informed when they completed the work on 11/6/23 that I wouldn't see a final bill or my refund for over 2 months.
