Took my Ryobi pressure washer to **** on 6-1-23 for warranty repair. It's now 12-28-23 I've called 4 times and stopped by the shop 1 time. He no longer has my property and insists that the manufacturer is supposed to replace it and he will call them. I either want my property back or replacement cost because he never notified me about any of this until I physically went to the business.Business response

I have received no calls from Burts about this matter. They have never contacted me about any of the issues about this complaint. I have initiated all interactions, I do not think this matter is resolved.Business response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Even though the replacement is not the same model I had originally taken in for repairs.

In the Begining of June I dropped off a Husqvarana riding mower for a repair of a belt and muffler. Otherwise running fine. Expected $300-400 approximate cost. Went twice to see if it was ready & it wasn't ready. At one point they told me they couldn't find it. They finally called 8/19. ***** said that "I (meaning ******) loaned the rider to someone and they damaged it. They had to do extra work to it because of it. Total cost $795. Something broke under there." If I don't pay they will sell my rider and keep the money they get for it. The mower was only used by me and it was in good condition other than those two repairs. Since I only requested those two repairs and they never contacted me prior to doing additional work that is unspecified, I feel that they are not truthful and are not practicing ethical business practices. The amount they want is about what the rider is worth.Business response

Mr ***********; asked us to fix his Husqvarna zero turn so we fixed it with his suggestion of what He wanted fixed and went we got it done . we called him with the Price and he said he would Be in to get it.Never showed then we get a call that he wasn't Happy about the **** .We Have always tried to treat him fairly when ever we fixed His units Because he tore them up . the only thing He is complaning about is price .I fixed everything that was wrong with unit If he didn't want it fixed why did He bring it in?

I am rejecting this response because:I requested only the muffler and belt replaced. Two parts were requested repaired. In an email to me this company offered to remove the labor from the invoice (which seemed like very low amount for labor compared to your other invoices). Then when I requested an explanation of the other repairs and a copy of the invoice there was no response. Your response doesn't explain why you decided to do additional work and why you won't tell me what was done. The mower was in good working order and the repair should have been minor - not $800!
I have brought mowers to this company and many times after spending a lot of money the mower quit working a few days later. I've been loyal to the company and I regret trusting this company.

3/5/22-*****************, owner of Burts Mower, picked up Chaftsman riding mower to "repair blade". 3/11/22 called for update and ask if any parts were needed etc? *********** said he hadn't looked at the mower, and would get back to me. 3/24/22 recvd call that mower was "done". 3/25/22 returned call and was told $555.57 was due. Apparently in addition to replacing the blade, *********** had WITHOUT NOTICE OR AUTHORIZATION, changed the oil and filter, aligned the front end, tightened the engine, aired tires and greased the mower. The only issue previously discussed or authorized was blade replacement. After a brief discussion regarding this issue, *********** disconnected the call. My complaint is *********** did not have the permission or authority to service my mower. Rather only to replace the blade. Period.Business response

the customer ca;;ed me to fix unit they a problem with blades when I got there I noticed engine loose and front end tires pointing out and the unit was fithey with dirt and oil all over it . I told Her this and there wasn't any respone from here any different with what I said to her . if they only wanted Blades done to it I wouldn't Have picked it up .with the shape of this unit was in . when the owner not her sister called and asked me if I had gotten to it I tokled her what I said what was wrong with her unit and she never said anything else . the sister came at me telling me i should Have called But if they wanted an estement I would Have told them . even when I picked it up and told her what was wrong with unit
