My husband, 1 year old baby and I booked this hotel on booking.com for July 27th-29th, 2023. The hotel let us check in without disclosing that they had no running water. They were unable to resolve the problem after 6 hours and had no end in sight. For obvious safety and health concerns, we checked out and had to book another hotel. We received verbal confirmation from the hotel front desk and from booking.com that we would be getting a full refund and now the hotel is refusing to respond or refund us. The total amount to be refunded is 468$, and booking.com says they cant do anything. We want the business to refund the original payment, as it was hazardous to stay there.

I paid $122 for a superior king ********************** suite at Ocean Paradise ********************** located in Ocean Shores, WA. We drove 3 hours out, mainly for the hot tub in the bedroom as advertised which most **********************s do not have in our area. Upon arriving, I showed an older front desk woman named **** with glasses my room confirmation and telling her we had booked the suite. She starts acting odd and gives us our keys, and says nothing about it. We arrive to a normal room. We go back down and explain we were given the wrong room. She became instantly defensive, saying "too bad, nothing I can do, all of our suites are booked." She blamed Booking.com for our room - which is funny because the ONLY way to book a room with them on their OWN website leads you to Booking.com! Besides that, the ********************** was absolutely run down and filthy. But I could have dealt with that had I been given the expensive suite I paid for! We call customer service with Booking who tells us they called **** who refused us any accommodation for today or the future, telling us to just deal with it. Oh, and **** told them that we could enjoy the broken public hot tub on their first floor. That's not what I paid for. We left! What a disgusting way to treat customers. Ocean Paradise refused to solve our issue and scammed my family and I with no remorse when they simply could have had us come back to the right room (I'm far past that option now after the way they treated us) or VERY EASILY could have refunded us since we never got what we paid for. We would have came back, not now. Why would we stay in a room we didn't book and we paid way more for??? Scammers. By her attitude and their terrible, unresponsive "customer service", we all suspect they have been getting away doing this to others for awhile. **** and Ocean Paradise as a whole are all scammers and need to be investigated for their unlawful practices.

My family has stayed at Ocean Paradise in Ocean Shores, Wa. several times in the past few years. Last year after our stay the 4th of July weekend we booked rooms again for this year. The rates quoted was $161.10 the first night & $172.10 the next 3 nights. I then received a call 6/21/22 telling me the hotel was bought by someone else and the new rate was around $1600.00 for the 4 nights. This seems very wrong and feel their should be something illegal with this. 10 days before we are due to arrive for our vacation. He is ruining many families vacations and after speaking with the new owner it seems he is just money hungry and does not care what he is doing to these families. Seems like he could negotiate/compromise the rates for those that already have reservations.
