We signed a contract in late Aug for landscaping that would take about 2 weeks to complete. Now it's late Dec and the first step of using an excavator to remove the scotch broom still isn't complete. The work finally began in late Oct. The owner would tell us he was coming on certain days then not show up and not communicate a change of plans, numerous times. He would admit he accepted too many jobs at the same time because he needed contracts and was sorry for running behind, but continued to say he was coming and not show up. A few days into the work, an employee hit our house with the excavator, causing damage. We received no communication from the owner and had to contact him after 4 days. At this point we asked for a refund on work not yet completed and money for the repairs. Via text, he asked us to let him have the damage fixed and then if we still wanted a refund we could have it. He sent someone to fix the damage the following week but the repair work left gaps in the house siding and is not painted. A few days later I sent a proposal of what amount should be refunded asking if he agreed with the amount. He continued to stall for a few weeks by not responding or giving excuses about his accountant being on vacation. Then he writes to us that he doesn't feel he should give us a refund at all and wants to finish the work. I said that if he would email us an updated contract that gave a date the work would be completed by, with a statement that any work not completed by the date would be refunded, then we would give him another chance to finish. He said he would have the email to us within two days (which would have been 12/4). It is now almost Jan and no email was sent. It feels like this person/company stole thousands of dollars from us. This has been a terrible experience and I worry other people will have their money and time swindled by Aquatic & Land Solutions. I have now found 2 other recent reviews that also claimed the company never finished a job.
