I went in the ditch to avoid a truck that stopped very fast in the road to avoid an on coming truck that veered in our lane. So it was hit the truck in front of me or go in the ditch. The state patrol officer called Avalon Towing and when they showed up the driver said he'd have to have a bigger tow truck to pull my friends truck out that I was driving. The bigger tow truck showed up and it was no problem to pull my friends truck out as you can see on the times on the document I will send. But me and the state patrol officer and the two tow truck drivers had discussed either to tow it to my house or to the impound yard. They said it would cost over $1200 to tow it to town which is about 20 to ****************************************************************************************************************** for the 2nd truck because it was there mistake for brining to small of a tow trucks an gave me a quote of $354 + tax which I thought was highly expensive and way over the national average but we agreed that would the cheapest and best price. I got it out of impound in less then ******************************************************************* an outrageous price of $684.06 it was either pay $684 or loose my friends truck. I just don't know if it's legal for a business to quote me one price ($354) but charge me $684. For a 6 mile tow. The ladies at Avalon said it was because the truck was lodged on a tree but that was a lie because it wasn't by a tree and you can clearly see it took the bigger wrecker no time at all to pull it ************************************************************************************** what needs to be done thank you. ******************************* hope to hear back from you soon..

Rates are set by the **************** Patrol.  ****************** did not have any funds to pay to have the vehicle towed to another location and he was told that **************** Patrol rates are 254 per hour.   The vehicle was stuck between electrical boxes (even took out a sign pole and other electrical boxes plus was hung up on a tree.  It required 2 wreckers to get it dislodged without damaging the camper shell that was up against the trees.  ****************** is not even the registered owner of the vehicle and does not have any  authority over retrieving the vehicle from impound.  The one wrecker was a light duty  rate at 254 hour and the medium duty wrecker is 307 per hour.  The registered owner was charged 1 hour each, one day of storage and sales tax.  There wasn't any "mistake" in using the smaller wrecker.  ****************** does not have the right to complain or protest the recovery fees of a vehicle he does not own.  All fees charged are the allowable rates set by the *** and he is upset because it isn't "cheap" to recover a vehicle that wrecked into the ditch.

I am rejecting this response because:
Avalon Towing is not being very truthful. The truck was not up against a tree or up against any boxes electrical or telephone box. I went back to where I went in the ditch and took some pictures to show there isn't no trees close to where the truck was and you'll see where Avalon towing drug the truck sideways out of the ditch instead of pulling it out the way it went in by the tire marks. The reason for not having cash on me I lost my wallet but it was turned in to the ocean shores police **** the next day. But I told Avalon tow that I could get the money as soon as I got back to town and was told they wouldn't tow the truck if I didn't have the cash in advance. The tow truck driver told me that they would take the truck to the impound yard and that it would cost $354 + tax if I payed it before 5 pm the next day. We agreed that would be the cheapest and best way because they said it would cost over $1200 to tow it to town? The truck was never lodged between a tree and electoral box's ever and they started to pull my truck back out of the ditch the way it went in (which was the right way to get it out) but soon as it was past the phone box they decided to pull it side ways out of the ditch and pulled the front end out of alignment and I was the responsible person to pay for the tow and impound and any other expenses that *** have come from this so that's why I'm having to place this claim because I payed for the tow and impound  I will try to send the pics of the scene so you can see what in saying is true
      Sincerely,
