We Bought a Truck from them in may and they pressured us into buying a service contract they lied about what was covered and misrepresented the coverage. We have not used the worthless warrantee and want to cancel the remaining 3 1/2 years but they are stonewalling and blaming the warrantee company and the warrantee company blames West Coast. We just want the unused portion cancelled and for them to cancel the balance. This warrantee is not worth the paper it is written on. WE WANT THE CONTRACT CANCELLED WHE HAVE NOT USED IT ANBD THERE IS STILL 3-1/2 YEARS LEFT ON IT. They took our money in Bad faith and we just want the balance cancelled warrantee contract number AXPPNATE49413

My wife and I purchased a truck from west coast auto and traded in our current truck. The truck we traded in had a mounting plate for our 5th wheel hitch and the dealership promised in writing to remove and return those to ** at the time of the deal. I have made 4 trips to the dealership, one trip I met the mechanic and showed him the parts needing removed. I also, have called the dealership over 20 times about this "as promised" item and was finally told they sold the truck with the adaptors still on it. I told the dealership the cost for a replacement part and they told me today that they won't be paying for the parts and that is their position on this matter. My issue is I was clear about my side of this transaction and made an effort to collect the as promised parts. Now I have an as promised paper on the warranty and other things promised paperwork from our deal that they won't honor.

I was pressured into buying a car on 9/30/21. I am a disabled vet and two days later on 10/2/21 I realized that it would hurt my family financially and put me further into debt. I called to ask to cancel my loan and return the car. They had not yet finalized a loan agreement with any bank. They told me they could cancel the contract, but that they wouldn't. They wouldn't even tell me what financial institution would have my loan because they haven't even finalized it yet. Why can't I return the car if there hasn't even been a loan agreement made yet. Please help. Thank you.

First we would like to say thank you for service as we have numerous VETS that work at corporate.  We apologize that your experience this time was not as pleasurable as your first experience.  Going through your file we realize that your new car payment is the same as the car payment that you traded in.  It shows in our system that *********************** our finance manager tried to present you with your options and you declined all of them.  In the state of Washington, all automotive dealers have four business days to get your contract that you signed bought at the exact same terms that you agreed and signed.  ***** secured your contract through numerous lenders at the exact interest rate and term and amount financed that you signed on October 1st 2021.  ***** also was able to get you a lower interest rate through numerous lenders and you declined to sign at the lower interest rate.  ***** has also has shown that he tried to lower your payment by thirty dollars a month and you declined.  Your are correct the dealership can cancel contracts, but will only cancel a contract if they have a new one signed that is cashable.  Cancelling a contract will never happen at any dealership and the reasoning is if any dealership cancels a contract for you they are legally liable to cancel all customers request.  Your situation happens frequently in the automotive sales sector and that's why it specifically states on the Washington state law contract that there is "No cooling off period".  *********************** also noted that he explained to you West Coast trial exchange policy and you also declined to trade your vehicle in for something else.  They have tried to lower your payment and make the vehicle you purchased more affordable for you and your family but it seems you will not comply.  At this point they will hold the Washington state law contract that you signed in house and facilitate it through there payment processing center.  They do not report good payment history to your credit report as they are not required by law to do so.  West Coast will report all negative payment history, collections and repossessions.  West Coast auto dealers will not put any of there lenders at risk.  There is still time to lower your interest rate and lower your monthly payment as long as you and your wife sign a new Washington state law contract by October 6th 2021.  If you choose to not utilize the banks lower interest rate, lower monthly payment and build your credit with a national lender West Coast will carry your contract inhouse along with the hundreds of other contracts that they hold in house.  Thank you for your time in this matter.

Thank you for your response. I reject this response as a resolution to my complaint.. I was never contacted about having a lower monthly payment or interest rate and any time. Therefore I never declined it either. The only offers extended to me were a different vehicle of same or greater value. Which would raise my payments. Or add ************* and a Warranty and I could get a lower interest rate with $60 a month higher payments. The only offers given to me were to create more profit for you. *********************** did not tell my wife or I that he could lower my payments by $30 a month and never contacted me about lower payments or interest rate. He never went over any part of the sales contract as I stated we were rushed through.. Sign here..Initial here..That was the extent of going over the contract with me. When I contact *********************** he literally agreed that the only way he would pull the contract was if it profited you more to do so. Financing was not acquired at the same terms agreed upon within the 4 business days allotted and we would like to cancel the sale of the vehicle per the Delivery Agreement. Thank you for your time.

We are sorry for your frustration with the ******************* for not getting your title to you in the 6-8 week time frame that they are supposed to have it sent by.  We cannot control how fast the state issues titles and this is obviously not a isolated incident due to Covid.  Oregon has been taking up to nine months to get titles out.  To address your other issue we are a certified Carfax dealer that provides free reports to all of our customers.  We advertise the Carfax report on each individual vehicle on our website now as we did when you purchased your vehicle.  We apologize that you did not utilize the resources that we offer then as we still offer and in no way or means did we try to hide anything.

I am rejecting this response because:

      Sincerely,

***************** thank you for your reply but I do understand the issues with the title . but if you had the car inspected or even lifted up you would have noticed the front end damage the car is not safe to drive until the front gets fixed . so I'm asking for $2500 in a refund so I can take it to the body shop and get it fixed or I can take it there and have them **** the car lot for the repair and just because it doesn't say that on the Carfax just means no one ever reported it. that doesn't fix the fact that you sold me a wrecked car that is not safe to drive. I just want the damage fixed since I bought a car $10k that I was told had no damage thank you for your time

      Business response

We apologize that you feel we did something to just sell a car. The vehicle that you purchase for **** plus tax license and fees.  The vehicle was purchased with over 180k miles and was in great running condition when you took delivery of the vehicle.  This Carfax also show proof of this by this vehicle drove to ******* ********** from ********** and did not break down or leave anyone stranded.  The vehicle has normal wear and tear for an 11 year old 180k mile vehicle.  We can compensate you with a fee oil change, and set that up for you at Jennifers Greenacres auto sales where you had the vehicle serviced before.  Outside of a credit for your oil change we will not be reimbursing you for any repairs on your vehicle.  Please reach out to our Director of Operations ******************* to facilitate the oil change.  Thank you for your time in this matter.

well thanks for the business I will but neg reports everywhere I can find so people will not by a car from you and yes I never said it didn't drive good I said it has BODY DAMADGE that I was NEVER told about ,,, and even if Carfax says it has no damage doesn't mean that it was never wrecked .. it means that who ever wrecked it never reported the wreck to Carfax that does NOT fix the issues that YOU sold me a wrecked car that is NOT safe to drive .. the front end WAS in a wreck from a previous owner, and needs to be fixed. You sold me a car that I was told had NO wrecks that was a LIE I would have never bought a car from anyone if I knew it was in a wreck ..if we cant get this fixed my next step is the get a lawyer involved to *** so I cant get it fixed. I like my car thanks for that, but the damage needs to be fixed and the damage was before we bought it so YOU should fix the problem . and you can also tell that the wreck is OLD so the choice is yours . i hope this can be resolved with out going to court cuz you all sold the car with the damage and never said anything. Thank you and will see you in court!
