First they only got a permit from the county after most of the work was done. I kept asking them to get it and they kept coming up with reason they couldn't get it. They emailed me the permit and when I showed it the the inspect it turned out to be just the application. Finally got the permit after trying for a week. Then they ask for the final payment before they finished the work. I can't get a final inspection until they finish the install. They don't answer email and after the way they handled the permit, I'm not paying anymore until I have working system and county approval. I just don't trust anything they say and now am trying to keep a written record.Business response

We are in contact with customer and will be finishing the job in the next few days. We were unable to finish at time of installation because the customer did not have propane yet. The customer was sent the final bill in error. Final payment is not due until installation is complete. The permit can be attained after work is done, many times installation and permit are done simultaneously. In this case the permit process was not properly communicated and executed, but the end result will be properly inspected. I have spoke with staff about communicating and attaining permit information earlier.Initial Complaint

Ordered a wood burning fireplace insert from Everwarm. They were happy to provide me a quote of $8,109.78 that was to include ALL labor including some masonry work for our complex installation. After all is said and done, with many scheduling errors and delays, the insert is complete and I received a final invoice for $9,648.65. Surprise! The invoice included an extra $1,057 for a custom panel that I was never told would be extra. We were also invoiced another $500 for General Labor that was in addition to their $2,100 Pipe and Labor package as well as $300 for Demolition. There was no demolition involved. We ended up bringing in another mason after they left to finish the stonework that they didn’t have the skills or tools for. Very disappointing. I would Iike Everwarm to honor their original estimate.Business response

I have talked to both Parties and discussed an agreeable resolution. Everwarm will be submitting a new invoice and upon receipt of payment we can consider this resolved. I will update once a complete resolution is made.
