So, I went to Midas on Mile Hill in Port Orchard, WA back in October of 2023 for a heating issue or possibly a coolant leak. I know that because it was after my birthday and well before Halloween.Midas told me, as far as my coolant, it was a hairline crack near the radiator. I also recall they said my coolant was contaminated. Then they went to replace the pipe leading from the reservoir to the radiator, they told me, "So that kind of part is not able to be found because it's 'no longer made for (my) make and model.' However, they found something similar that could work with it. It was able to fix it for a while. Still, they were able to do the job within the day. Not within an hour, but the day. And I got through the holidays with a working heating system. At the time, I was overjoyed to have had it done promptly. Now, a week before Valentine's *** 2024 - I experienced the same issue again. I submit a request for an appointment (on a Sunday when they're closed), and they say they'll respond to me the next morning. I waited until 1 pm to call ***** ****** never saw it in their system. However, they offered to set up an appointment to see what the issue is, if it's the same one. I'll admit, I'm anxious to hear the results coming that day as I detest being taken advantage of.Initial Complaint

On 30 September 2023 I took my vehicle to the local Midas store for new breaks. The store found that my rear axle seal was leaking and suggested replacing the axle and seals. I authorized the repairs. I got my vehicle back on 5 October 2023. I discovered that the emergency brake wasn't working and the rear seal was still leaking. I contacted the Manager at that location and we scheduled an appointment the following morning. I brought back the vehicle and was told he was understaffed and he could get me in on the 7th. I couldn't wait that long to get my vehicle back so I took it to the Midas location in ********* **, to fix the issues. I arrived on the 7th to pick up my vehicle and found the bed of the truck had parts and the owner told me they took the truck out to test the brakes. Come to find out by the owner and technician they used my truck to deliver and pick up parts from their other stores approximately 40 miles round trip with out asking for my consent or knowledge. the owner returned my vehicle and I asked about the emergency brake and they hadn't fix it. He took it back in immediately for about 45 minutes and I get home and the e brake was still not functioning correctly. The following day I ran to the store less than a mile away and hear a lot of noise from the front of the vehicle after inspection I discovered that the bolts that hold on the new calipers they installed were not used and the caliper and brakes were not bolted on. I returned the vehicle on the 9th to fix the leak, e brake and caliber. I went back to check on the repairs and discovered once again my truck wasn't there and they were using it without my knowledge or consent. I got my vehicle back for the 3rd time and no e brake and in an unsafe operating condition. I talked to the owner for resolution and he offered me a free car wash. My vehicle is now with another repair shop to have the work inspected and fix my brakes.Initial Complaint

We drove our Dodge Campervan in to the Port Orchard WA Midas on November 10th as it was not running right. After attempting to fix it/send it home twice, we drove it right back and complained that the SAME problem was still occuring (not firing on all cylinders). It has been there EVER SINCE with various 'explanations' as to when it would be repaired etc. We were told that the computer needed repairs and that it was sent off to A-1 Cardone and that it could take up to 2 - 2 1/2 months to be finished. While it has been parked at Midas, the vent cover blew off in a wind storm and their solution was to place a piece of plastic & an auto tire ON TOP OF IT for a MONTH before they finally repaired it (we had to go purchase the part and take it over there). We were informed that the business was broken into and the keys to our van were among those stolen!!! We were told a few weeks ago that 'they' (A-1 Cardone?) were working on it and it would be finished up and mailed back in 3-5 days. That was well over 3 weeks ago. NOW we have been informed that the original computer has been LOST. At this time we don't know who is telling the truth and who is lying, but it has been SIX (6) MONTHS since we DROVE our van in!! I (***) have health issues which require me to drive a self-contained vehicle and I have been basically homebound since November 2022 because of this fiasco. I was unable to get out for Thanksgiving, Christmas (and the shopping I'd like to have done, Easter AND the birth of a grandchild. I have been unable to make necessary doctor ****** due to inability to drive/travel without my self contained vehicle!! We have been RIDICULOUSLY patient and now we want our van BACK. We drove it in and we will either drive it out OR Midas will replace it. This has gone on FAR too long.Initial Complaint

I have taken my 2013 Mini ****** to Midas on several occasions for repairs. I have now taken my vehicle to a different shop which has informed me that most of the work Midas has done to my car still remains to have the same issues Midas has claimed to have repaired previously. This seems to be an ongoing issue of Midas not repairing my car to satisfactory condition. Resulting in my vehicle ending up in their shop several times for repeated issues. On one occasion I had them replace a fog light. I was unaware until after I had left the shop days later that they took my fog light cover off and never replaced it. As a result of that I no longer have one fog light cover. I want my car fixed properly or a full refund for all of this trouble. I have tried to contact Midas corporate, however I never received a response to my online submission.Business response
