Purchased flowers for a funeral and did not receive anything near what was ordered. Paid $363.00 plus a $30.00 tip up front. When flowers were delivered to the funeral home there were only about $50 worth of flowers in the arrangement. My husband spoke to the owner and she didn't care and gave no explanation - just blew him off. Feel ripped off - this business basically stole our money and we did not receive what we ordered. Especially frustrating because they were ordered for my father's funeral.Picture attached. It is the white and blue arranagement. There were 4 lilies, 10 - 12 roses, carnations and a few sprigs of delphinium. No where near $400 worth of flowers and no where near the size we were told the arrangement would be.Please help.Business response

I have read the complaint, the customer came into my shop, picked a funeral easel picture out of my custom floral book of my work. It was to be roses, lilies and carnations in the picture it had eucalyptus she said no eucalyptus, replace it with blue delphinium, which I did they asked me the size of the arrangement I told him its approximately 4 x 3 wide 4 feet long. The price of the easel was $330. I have not changed my prices in my Florist book for over five years. I received a phone call about two weeks later at the gentleman that was in here that had paid for it when he had paid for it he gave me a $30 tip. I told him the tip was not necessary as I am the owner and would be putting it together. I did the substitution with the blue delphinium for the eucalyptus when he called me, he said the blue delphinium flower was old, which is not true. I recognize this gentleman as I know that he worked in the Floral industry years back, and he had introduced himself to me in a previous shop I had worked at , I explain to him youve been in the Florist industry. You know that the blue delphinium has a tendency to drop its petals. Nothing I use in my flower shop is old my turnover is daily. I did tell him I was very sorry he was not happy with the arrangement , I have been in the floral business for over 50 years. I am a second generation Florist for them to tell me I only spent $50 on their flowers is not true. He has no idea how expensive flowers are not only do they have to pay for my flowers, but they are also paying for my design . I have many personal accounts with the funeral homes. I have been trusted and well known to do the funeral work for the surrounding areas? This letter is an example of the funeral homes that have done service with me. I am very sorry for the loss of her father. Every order I make I make it as Im making up for my own family member. I am very sorry she was dissatisfied with what I had arranged for her. This is the funeral piece I had made for her. I also explained some of her lilies did not open up all the way for the fact that they are so fresh. I hope this helps clear the situation up. Feel free to call me if you have any more questions. My number is ************ or you can call the Flower Shop **********.
