            We contracted with *******************, Deck Pros, on 8/25/21 to rebuild our front deck and make improvements on our back deck. We gave him checks for nearly one half of the total cost, ****** dollars, (we had written the 3rd check but Beau never came to pick it up), but despite the fact many start dates were scheduled no one ever showed up for any of these dates. Sometimes we would get a call, sometimes an e-mail, but many times, no communications they would not be here. We had been told once COVID was interfering with their ability to start the projects. We received an e-mail from Beau on Jan 19, 2022 stating we could cancel the project, which we accepted and he said he would give us a full refund, we accepted and h said he would hand deliver a cashiers check to us on January 24th, 2022. We have not seen him nor the check.We are an elderly couple who would like to have our money returned so we can put it back into our savings account. Any assistance would be welcome.Thank you!             Deck Pros disappeared with our deposit We paid ******************* / Deck Pros a deposit for half of our deck 4 months in advance. Communication was normal and cordial the entire time, however; they did not show up on the agreed start date. Three days later we contacted Beau to see if there was any update, figuring they were just behind. Over the next two weeks there was no response to email, text or voicemail. At that point, we filed a claim with ***** and after an extended investigation, the money has been returned to us. From what we can tell, Beau will either show up and do a great job, or disappear with your money. We found two prior customer reviews of this same practice, along with two open claims (as of March 2022) on *************************** of ***** (that add up to over 30K). Youll have to ask yourself if its worth the risk hiring Deck Pros. If you do decide to move forward with them, we would suggest paying with a **** or MasterCard so you have some kind recourse, other than court. We now have to start this process over again 6 months later. Who knows when well actually be able to get the deck built.
