    I applied for a rental unit and I was told after I passed all the requirements listed and after seeing me in person I was advised that they needed to enter my home that I am currently in, mind you I am Mexican and native American. I denied, stated that I wasn't comfortable with that and it was nowhere in the requirements and ***** said that my application depended on it. If I denied I wouldn't be able to rent the unit. I was working with ***** and when I declined that she yelled and hung up on me. I called her manager and was told that they don't do that, I was approved for the unit. When I spoke with ***** to get my paperwork she said that she always requires people to allow her access into their current homes to see how they live and if not they don't get the unit. She made it sound like she held the power and it made me extremely uncomfortable and obvious that she prays on people who need to rent. I feel like that violates personal privacy to demand access to a residential house that they don't own or manage. ***** denying me without anything in writing. I did get her demand via text. After reaching out to her boss I was offered 6 month lease since there was absolutely nothing that would deny me on the application. I was required to pay the security deposit before I was even allowed to see the unit or the lease. Once I paid the deposit I was forwarded the lease terms and they contradicted what ***** the property manager was verbally telling me. She wouldn't confirm anything in writing only calling. This made me uncomfortable, for instance I was told to change the lock on the front door when I moved in and there wouldn't be a charge but the lease says I am not allowed to change the locks or there will be a fees and when I asked about it ***** refused to put it in writing but called. I rejected the lease and was told I would be refunded my deposit in a couple days, but when I call about it I just get excuses why they can't refund me.

    Integrity is a joke! They have none! They will not return your security deposit. They never accept responsibility or blame. Everything is the tenants fault. Run fast!
