Around December 2022 Steady Property Management took over management of our rental; which was previously handled by the property owner. The only documentation that we recieved was a notice stating that they were taking over and that our rent would increase. The official new lease was not made until 07.01.2023 We have been charged for water this entire time without once seeing a statement. The new lease stated a statement would be provided monthly. We recieved a bill for landscaping, which I will not pay because we were never notified of a landscaper and we were never given the opportunity to complete the tasks. Also, one of the tasks charged for was not done as described. On 09.03.2023 the main bathtub/shower plumbing fell out of the bottom of the shower to the ground making it unusable. We have 5 people living in the house and sharing one shower. There is no access to the one and only bathtub. I have contacted the property manager several times and have been told that they are waiting on the property owner. I believe they are allowed 3 weeks to fix this issue legally and it has been about 5 weeks with no resolve.Business response

- Regarding the water reimbursement- Tenants on both sides have always paid the owner a flat fee and in this manner. Owner still gets the bill. Owner further states "....She owed me thousands of dollars for water in the past, and she was asking my permission to pay $100 extra/ per month to catch up ..."
- Regarding the yard care - Per the owner 'My 1st contract with her, need to care for lawn/yard - no house/duplex rent without yard/lawn - who will come and cut... at her convenience? ..." owner has given her several verbal and text requests. Blackberry bushes, overgrown grass and bushes on both sides of the duplex completely consumed the sides and back yard, fence and up the house.
- Regarding the bathroom quote - The owner is taking longer than usual. The team at Steady Property Management, both maintenance and the *** have been reaching out via email, text and calls. Owner has requested multiple quotes. We just got one back asking for sliding doors to keep water from getting out. Tenants have 2 bathrooms with showers in both.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:Everything that is stated by the owner in the response is inaccurate or untrue. The owner actually stopped sending water bills then approached us, the tenants with her mistake, asking US, if we would pay extra to make up for her mistakes and we did. I have records to show when that was completed years ago. What I am inquiring about currently is the water bills with current charges. I am legally allowed to see statements, and the new lease states they will be provided. I never owed her thousands of dollars and I surely didn't approach her asking to pay her for her mishandlings. I have always paid my bills. The landlord is a slum lord who will lie for her own benefit. And ************** should not be allowing this. For example, when asked for a copy of the water bill amount the landlord emailed the ** a copy of MY LATE SEWER BILL NOTICE that I pay independently.
It is illegal to charge me for lawn care without any contact, email, texts or consent. No one has tried to contact me. We cut the lawn. We do not cut down the large growing **** in the front. And neither did the people who were hired and they're asking me to pay for.
I have never received correspondence about the blackberry bushes.
I figured that after completely getting rid of them before on our own accord and the owner said nothing that she didn't care about it.
The bathtub needs to be replaced. Not new shower doors. Thats completely comical. And the landlord has not received quotes from anyone. Not one person came to my house to look at the bathroom. Procrastination and lies.
I would love to see any and all correspondence from the landlord or ** company regarding any of these issues. I have 100 percent accurate records, emails, texts.
I pay for a main bathroom with a shower and bathtub. 5 people are using a half bath. This is unacceptable. I would never rent a half bath unit for my size family. Going on 6 weeks now without access to the shower/bath. I'm being charged for 2 working bathrooms not one.
Sincerely,

We would like to add that we are going to ending management of this property due not being able to take care of things and handle things in a timely manner. This is no fault of the tenants, but rather the owner.Business response

I have requested the invoices from the landlord/owner.
The yard maintenance, including the trimming of the blackberry bushes, is stipulated in her lease agreement. The lease also specifies the responsibility for lawn care.
Concerning the bathtub issue, the tenant has been notified. In their previous complaint, they mentioned the cancellation, so they were aware of this. The vendor identified an additional problem during their visit. The tenant was informed about this new issue by the vendor, who had to provide a new cost estimate and assess the bathtub and drain issue by accessing it from beneath the house. The tenant is fully aware of these developments. The owner has given their approval for the updated estimate, and the vendor is in the process of getting this scheduled. It's worth noting that the tenant and owner have a rather tumultuous relationship.

I am rejecting this response because:1. Mowing the lawn and lawn maintenance is not the same as being charged 350 for a **** being trimmed (not cut; which doesn't address the fact that I was told it was for an overgrown ****) and a roof being salted. THE POINT IS, I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF ANY ADDITIONAL CHARGES BEFOREHAND.
2. The blackberry bushes have only recently been brought up since ** took over. I have not received an estimate for this either
3. The bathroom is still not fixed. It has been almost 2 months. I have been getting mixed communication from all parties involved. Clearly communication within the company and the vendors is lacking.
4. Let me be very clear. The property owner and I do not have a tumultuous relationship. The frustration lies with the mishandling and miscommunication between the ** and owner. The fact that the owner is allowed to falsify the truth is indeed unfair.
5. FIX MY BATHROOM!
Sincerely,
