      Ordering form this company can be stressful. They never respond to phone calls, their email is not monitored and they request that people complete the form online to reach them, yet they never respond to the form. I completed the form over 5 times and still no answer (they never respond). I ordered a product and it's late-- it was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. On Thursday, when I logged in to ***** they said they forwarded the package because the address or zip is incorrect--- I'm not able to contact **** (they never answer)... I've been trying to contact MakingCosmetics since Thursday! What a messs.

      Per customer service:
      Our customer reached out to us through our customer service portal on 07/19/2024 we responded on the same day.   

      First Message 
      07/19/2024 which we responded to on 07/19/2024 to advise that we shipped to the correct shipping address that customer has supplied to us when order was placed on the website. We had advised that she sign up for the text notifications as this was Friday that she reached out to us and the order should deliver next day.   **** Priority has up to 7 business days for delivery there is not a guaranteed delivery date with the United States Postal Service. 
      Second Message
      07/ 21/2024 which we responded to customer on 07/22/2024  (Monday) and also advised of the tracking showing order delivered. 
      Customer has never responded to any emails that we sent out to her.  ******** had advised that she was going to report to the BBB but she has not responded to any of our emails sent to her regarding her order.
      We did ship to the correct address and have not heard back on confirmation from customer if she received the parcel.
      Her last email sent to us on 07/21/2024 Customer said that we did not reply to her email sent to us on 7/19/2024   and included 
      "I called **** and was finally able to reach someone after many attempts, and they said **** sent it to the wrong location by accident and said Id still receive it on Saturday. They gave me a **** number that services my area to call, but each time I reached out, they hung up. Please, assist as my package is late."

      We responded and asked her if the order was received per tracking showing delivered and we have no reply from her.

      The email address that customer used to contact us in our portal was *********************

      We always try our best to assist our customers but we do need feedback from them when we respond so that we can work together for a proper resolution wether it was a mistake on our part or a shipping service issue.

      While I do truly feel making cosmetics make great products that I enjoyed working with and using as did my customers the products simply are not worth the hassle of dealing with this company.It's always something with them and somehow it's always the customers fault.Making cosmetics never provides accurate tracking information, everything is "container generated" meaning it's supposed to be in a certain shipment from **** but they've got no actual idea if it's really there or not, I've actually had post office employees ask if I was sure I wasn't getting scammed by this company because there was no evidence of the package containing my making cosmetics order existing. They never ship on time.If they even bother to respond to your customer service inquiries whatever your issue is is all your fault and making cosmetics will not take accountability or work to resolve issues.Their website is very poorly maintained to the point you can't place an order or create an account at all or at least not without hassle.I've ordered from this company probably a dozen times and half of them have been a horrible experience that resulted in having to contact customer service and be ghosted or told my issues with my orders were because of something I did or didn't do. What that might b is never explained.Not worth the hassle

      Thank you for your feedback, *******, we have been in communication with you recently, you sent a message to us on Sunday 12/10/2023 and we responded to you on Monday 12/11/2023 (the next business day). We have not received a reply to our response so that we could offer you further assistance.  
      We are sorry to hear of your unhappiness with our continued business relationship. We looked at your order history and see that almost all of your orders placed with us shipped within 1-2 business days of them being received. The other two orders shipped within 5 business days of receiving them. When orders are shipped from our facility, we ship using the shipping service that you select if placed directly on our website. 

      At the time orders are processed through our system an email is sent to the customer with the tracking and update later that day when the parcels are picked up. We are always happy to assist a customer with placing and order if they are having a difficulty, just this last week we had an email from you and we responded to you but you did not respond to us so that we could assist you with placing your order. 
      We also reviewed all communication overt the last two years with you and do not see anything that has not been answered or ignored.  
      If you would still like assistance with placing an order, please respond to our email that we sent you so that we can make this happen for you.

      As a retail seller of raw chemicals / ingredients, the manufacturers of which will only sell in minimum quantities hundreds of times larger than their small business and DIY cosmetic and skincare making customers would ever need or could afford, MakingCosmetics no doubt has a very challenging and labor intensive inventory, storage, repackaging and shipping fulfillment operation on their hands... that should NOT be done as poorly as they do it. And what's even more unfortunate is that there's very little competition in their market demographic, which is bad for all consumers because their market demographic can potentially make skin care products that are just as safe and far more potent or otherwise effective, far more customized, fresher, and on top of all that, cheaper than what's mass produced and available on supermarket and drugstore shelves - if only given access to the chemicals needed, at fair and reasonable prices. But even a small business, is still a business. it still has deadlines, logistics, and budgets that can be negatively impacted by suppliers. And they always are, by this supplier. MakingCosmetics charges plus-ultra-premium prices for **********, standard products. They clearly put no effort into negotiating any kind of pre-sort or bulk discounts with the shippers they use, content to pass the full, unmitigated cost of same onto their customers... and at that, it's often FIVE DAYS LATER or more, after the order has been placed, before they can even get it out the door. If it were just one or the other - the high prices, or the slow fulfillment, I would probably hold my tongue. But this kind of overpriced, poor service has been the rule, rather than an exception. It looks like they do respond to issues here pretty well, which indicates at least some level of actual concern. While a critical first step, just showing concern, alone, won't keep customers satisfied.

We were waiting to hear back from you on how you wanted to proceed, since we did not have a reply, we shipped out this order since product arrived to avoid any further frustration and delays to you. 
      We do understand your frustration with the increasing costs for shipping. Due to the type of materials that we offer, not all ingredients are able to ship in lower rate category that some of the shipping services may offer.

      I would not recommend this supplier to anyone, until they address their customer service, emails and general assistance. I recently purchased materials from them weeks ago and they failed to supply me with the Certificate of Analysis, GOOD LUCK on finding help!! or **************** for that matter!! They don't exist! I have called everyday for the passed several weeks using Pacific time and nothing!

      Hello, 
      we were not able to find anyone in the system under the name ***** ********.
      We did a little digging and we found Amanda Arvelo at Ambix Labs who is associated with the email address from the complaint. She is associated with the company that has placed orders with us in the past and the company just ordered 5kg of the Allantoin on 05/11/2023.

      Sabrina from this company Ambix Labs placed the order on 05/11/2023, we shipped on 05/15/2023 and included the Certificate of Analysis (CoA) per request and also emailed it to the email address on the order.

      We emailed over the information twice, once on 05/23/2023 and then again on 05/25/2023 and we shipped and included the CoA in the shipment as well. 
      This request came from Sabrina. The zip code from the complaint matches for this customer. Customer contacted us on 5/23/2023 and our Documents Department responded with the CoA the same day.

      We have no other information from them of a complaint or a different request. The Documents Department is the only one that received this request, and the reply was same day. No one under the name assigned to this complaint contacted us only Sabrina.

      (Looks like there are several people involved and they don't communicate)

      Prices are too high and no way to contact customer support! Chat ends at 12, mailbox for phone calls is full and no way to email them!

However, please keep in mind that comparing prices between different companies and products is oftentimes difficult since the product itself may be of a different quality and origin, and the company may use different business strategies. Our strategy is to use exclusively high-quality products which we oftentimes need to purchase overseas, particularly high-quality containers and various active ingredients. As a result of continued overall cost increases driven by measures to address COVID-19, regulatory legislation, and freight, we are forced to increase pricing. While we have mitigated the effect of these increases over an extended period, we are no longer able to fully absorb these costs.Due to staff shortages, phone communication has limited hours. Our chat service is not available at this time but you can reach us through our contact us link on the website https://www.makingcosmetics.com/Contact-Us-Form.html?lang=default We typically answer emails within ***** hours; this is due to having as much staff as possible working in our warehouse to fulfill our website orders.As we are able to add more staffing, we will once again have our phone service operating.
