This matter involves a Washington auto shop, ******, who is in breach of contract, refused to provide a written estimate, created faulty charges, forged documents, and now is holding my vehicle without permission. On 9/16/2020, ******, warrantied an engine re-build, until 107 k miles or until ****. See Exhibit A. ****** was paid $17,014.11 and we picked up our car on 3/26/2021. See Exhibit A. Subsequently, on April 6th, 2021, during the warranty covered oil change, it was discovered that the engine re-build the shop had done turned out to be faulty and needed further improvements that would be covered under their warranty. Later the shop began pressuring us over and over again to trade in the vehicle and when we refused they said that they could not honor their warranty as it would make them go bankrupt. Once a demand letter was sent (Exhibit B), ****** retaliated by inventing charges for work never performed or authorized and are now charging a storage fee that we never agreed to. See Exhibit ** *** total they are now claiming we owe is $5,329.50 and have increased it to $8191.50. See **************** trying to work out this issue, ****** forged documents that would release them from liability. We need help. We were able to obtain a lawyer to help us with a few demand letters, but we have no help beyond that point. We do not know what to do when an auto shop forges documents, refuses to provide estimates on work, invents charges for work never performed, refuses to uphold their warranty and refuses to return my car.
