      In May of 2023, I gave ************** of Brotherton Cadillac Buick of Renton $14,000 for a 2006 Lexus rx330. I expressed concern about the brakes being soft and it pulling to the right while braking, he smiled and nodded. I told him that this was my life savings and it had to last me. I had the car for 2.5 months and it just wouldn't start, I called Brotherton and got nothing positive in return. The only person I got was the service department manager and he said he couldn't look at it because it wasn't a Buick/Cadillac, so I asked him how it could be Mechanic Certified if they couldn't look at it? He said "At least we kept it running for four months! Hehehe", I asked him what he meant because I've only had it for 2.5 months!" HE.HUNG.UP.ON.ME!! I left a review in August stating all this, I got a response stating "This doesn't sound right, em me at arun@brothertoncadillac, I did, again, reiterating my grievances, since then? Crickets. Nothing. ***** This caused me to having extreme anxiety/panic attacks due to being too scared drive it as I don't know if it will break down, I have maybe put 700 miles on it. I immediately began with the VA ******** to get a doctor for these panic attacks. It has led to me having to cancel multiple appointments because of this. I gave them my life savings and they screwed me over so bad. I still don't know what to do. I can't afford to take care of all the things, major and minor that this business should have taken care of before selling this car. I would love either my money fully returned so that I can go to reputable company for a car or at least half of it so that I can take it to reputable company for repairs.

      I have been trying to contact **** @ Brotherton Cadillac Buick since the beginning of August about this vehicle, yes ,I realize that the vehicle is 18 years old, however, even as we speak, the vehicle will not turn over. It is DOA and I can not afford more money to sink into the vehicle. It IS NOT a case of "*****'s Remorse" as I would have NEVER MADE THE PURCHASE had it not been stated as being "Mechanic Certified" NEVER. ************** lied to my face and insinuated that he was a man of integrity. As a disabled veteran with no real pension to speak of, I told ***** that this was my life's savings. I need a RELIABLE vehicle to attend to my medical appointments. As it is, I am actively seeking medical attention (took since September to January to finally get assigned to a mental health professional (due to panic/anxiety attacks. I am too scared to leave my apartment complex because I don't know when or where it us going to break down again. Again, after paying $14,000 cash, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a vehicle to 1.) Last more than 2 months 2.) Expect for the company to make it right and provide me with a mechanically sound vehicle (the Service Manager, laughed because they kept it running for 4 months *I had for it for two) 3.) Brotherton should not be allowed to advertise a vehicle as "Mechanic Certified" (but then tell me that they couldn't look at it because it wasn't a Buick) when that is/was a bald faced lie. I just want what is right and that is to not have a $14,000 paperweight and for not to have such a flippant attitude about lies and poor customer service. I want them to have some integrity and back the vehicles that they have for sale. Return enough of my money so that I can take it and put it in the shop and get a fully functioning vehicle. Arun and Brotherton should not be allowed to s**** over females, the disabled or veterans. I would have never purchased from them if they didn't stated that they had mechanic's look it over and certify it. Thank you.

      I have sent multiple emails and called the number that **** left on the Bbb site, leaving at least 4 voice messages...he has failed to respond to ANY OF THEM THAT I HAVE LEFT SINCE AUGUST 2023!!! I know that it is a 2006 vehicle, however, they advertised it has being "Mechanic Certified", so why would I take it somewhere to get checked out! I'm even ok with replacing the soft brakes (which are very dangerous) but I only had the vehicle TWO MONTHS before it experienced it's first power failure, I replaced the battery, got battery chargers and a battery charging unit for a total of $540 + tax. That DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE!! Having giving Brotherton Cadillac my life's savings, I cannot afford to have the alternator fixed $1,200 plus tax. I WANT BROTHERTON TO CALL ME AND MAKE THIS RIGHT!! I have literally turned into a recluse, leaving my apartment complex maybe once every 5 or 6 weeks. This is no joke to me and due to this I have had to undergo taking medication fir my anxiety and panic attacks, things I never experienced before being screwed over, my money taken and a freaking 2,000lb. paperweight!! I am literally too scared to go anywhere in it because I don't know when it will die on me.. I have been trying to get this resolved since the beginning of August!! At least 20.emails and about the same in voice messages IGNORED SINCE AUGUST!!! PLEASE DON'T LET THEM GET BY WITH THIS!! I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE BASED ON A LIE OF IT BEING SOUND AND MECHANICALLY SOUND!! I NEED THISVTO BE MADE RIGHT!! THIS IS WHY MY RESPONSES ARE DELAYED...I'M TERRIFIED OF PEOPLE AND SPEAKING WITH THEM NOW. Thank you for your time, but please don't let HIS INACTION and LIES cause me to loose over $13,000!!! I am a disabled  elderly, female veteran. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO US!!!!!

      To whom it may concern:On 11/28 & 11/29 of 2023 Subject: Complaint Regarding Violations of Federal Consumer Law Dear Sir/*****,I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding the recent experience I had at Brotheroton Cadillac Washington. It has come to my attention that your dealership has violated several federal consumer laws, including Title 15 USC ****, Title 15 USC ****, Title 15 USC ****, and Title 15 USC ****. Furthermore, I believe I was discriminated against and denied credit based on my race, which is a violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act.During my visit to your dealership 8, I encountered multiple instances of false and misleading information provided by your staff. However, I you Therefore, the information provided to me was incorrect and misleading.These actions by your dealership are clear violations of federal consumer laws, including the Truth in Lending Act and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I would like to remind you that each violation of these laws is punishable by fines of up to $5,000 or 1% of the company's worth.Furthermore, I strongly believe that I was discriminated against based on my race, which is a direct violation of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act. I expect all customers to be treated fairly and without discrimination, regardless of their race or ethnicity. Denying me credit based on false information and discriminatory practices is not only morally wrong but also illegal.I kindly request a thorough investigation into this matter and appropriate action taken to rectify the violations committed by Cadillac.       This complaint is bewildering.  ******************** claims he was discriminated based on race, this could not be further from the truth.  ******************** was not able to obtain credit to his preference solely because of his lack of credit worthiness. The attachment that was provided shows that clearly.  The only approval we were able to get required $31,000 down, of course his preferred outcome is for us to do it with no money down. Unfortunately his credit does not allow for that.  ******************** has stated several laws none of which apply here.  I would suggest he spend his efforts on repairing his credit rather frivolous complaints.

      I have never been so upset and bullied in a cardealership ever before **** was the first person italked to when i called and he was the one in charge of my purchase **** and ****** helped also. I signed one contract agreeing to everything they said which was the bank they got would only approve my loan if i had gap is what they told me so i had agreed at that time. Then 7 days later they said it wasn't approved. Had another option of 100 more of a payment than What I had originally signed for and the interest was gonna be 5% Higher. I could not do that I called them and told them That was too much for me and if there was anything else that we could. they said there's nothing else We could do so they came and got the car 2 days later. I called my bank and they said they had approved a loan through BECU from the dealership, And that was never an option for me from them that i was made aware of. I called the dealer and said I got a preapproved letter. Through you guys is there any way we can make it work with them ?. They called me the next day and said yes we can make it work with them. I had told the salesman. I did not want to purchase gap insurance this time as it is not required for this loan. They said yes we'll handle that when you get here well when I got there. They told Me If I did not purchase gap Insurance Then they're not gonna Sell me The car I was so shocked and upset because I thought this was optional and I felt bullied into getting It. never in my life has this happened? I was crying while signing the papers cause. I was so upset that I was forced to do something that should have been optional. Also the fact that they said there was nothing they could do but once I did my digging there was actually something they could do to make the deal work.

      . Ordered a vehicle agreed to a price up front. When the vehicle came in they upcharged me and force me to buy a BS theft deterrent. The real nightmare happened when they sent my registration paperwork to the wrong dmv and underpaid dmv for my registration. I have been making payments in a car for 4 months that I cannot drive. Horrible place. I emailed the owner directly who has done nothing to fix the situation.

      I received an email from **************** on August 31st. asking for me to help resolve an issue that had been ongoing since he purchased his car.  The issue stemmed from when we had estimated the taxes and license fees in his county based on the information provided by the *******************.  When we learned the fees were short, we authorized our title clerk to pay the fee's as a gesture of goodwill.  Ultimately, these fees are the customers responsibility, but we are taking care of the difference.  On Sept 1st I told this to **************** in an email and shared with him the contact information for the *** in ********** as well as provided him with the tracking #. 

      We have updated his bank letting them know the paperwork is in process with the *******************, we have left message for the *** in hopes to get a response.  Licensing is an issue all over the country right now.  It is not a unique situation to ****************, but we are sympathetic to the issue and that is why we had paid the difference in the fee's.

      We are hopeful that the Stare of ********** will process his paperwork so he can enjoy his vehicle.

      I Purchased a 2015 Escalade from this dealership and was treated like human garbage. Brotherton Cadillac even tried to take my vehicle from another dealership that was trying to work on and fix it. Pretty sure that is attempted theft of a motor vehicle as I have the title in my possession but that happened at the end. Ill get to that. So i bought the escalade. Turns out the tires on it did not meet the safety weight standards for the vehicle and one of the lug nuts had to be DRILLED out so i could put TPS sensors in the tires as they did not come with them. This resulted our first encounter with ARUN as his employees wanted to tell me its my problem i cant even get the rim off my vehicle. Arun fixed it. Couple weeks later the check engine light comes on. Take it up to Brotherton and they tell me there is an issue with the fuel pump injector #5. they fixed it. 3 days later we're out of town and the check engine came back on. FML. So we take it back it. Turns out according to ****** his "master mechanic" didn't put the s*** back together properly. No accountability. I had to use the jaws of life to get a free oil change out of the deal. Next week the engine fails at a stop light in the middle of an intersection. My fianc had the escalade towed to **************** so they could fix it in order to not deal with the dealership. this is where Brotherton just decides for themselves that they're going to fix the vehicle. Who cares what we want. Then I was bullied into selling my vehicle back to them as there are no replacement motors for over 4 months. Between the money and time they have cost me I am out over ******. That *** not be a lot of money to them however it is to me as I am the single mother of an 8 year old type 1 diabetic. If you're not a Seahawk or a rich business man they will try and take advantage of you

      We have offered to purchase the vehicle back as there are no engines available.  If *************************** would like to keep the vehicle, we are happy to wait for the new engine to arrive and complete the repair.  she will need to return the check and we will unwind the purchase paperwork that was recently signed selling the vehicle back to Brotherton.  We were under the impression we were doing what the customer wanted.
