Our experience with AquaQuip has been a nightmare from the very beginning. We purchased a custom-built sauna in the fall of 2021, which remains unfinished and dysfunctional. The AquaQuip salesperson misled us, upselling us on a more expensive sauna design with extra windows, promising it would meet the advertised temperature. This has proven false. The sauna also has numerous defects: improperly installed boards, cracked windows, a faulty door, and a malfunctioning thermostat that triggers a high-temp alarm despite the sauna not reaching the advertised temperature.Despite reaching out multiple times and escalating to upper management and the president, AquaQuip's response has been unsatisfactory. Approved warranty work to replace lights, boards, and the door, and to install the thermostat properly, has been delayed repeatedly. The assigned contractor ignored calls, missed appointments, and performed subpar work. Both AquaQuip and the manufacturer, Finnleo, have shirked responsibility for the heating issue, despite Finnleo acknowledging the design was flawed. As of May 2024, the sauna remains dysfunctional. Repairs approved almost 6 months ago have not been made, and AquaQuip and Finnleo refuse to rectify the heating defect. Additionally, AquaQuips hot tub cleaning service was equally poor, leading us to terminate their services in 2022.Overall, AquaQuips inadequate customer service and failure to deliver on promises make them unreliable and untrustworthy. I urge others to avoid AquaQuip to prevent similar issues. Furthermore Finnleos saunas are constructed with poor craftsmanship and we would advise finding an alternative manufacture.Review from Dallas G

I would leave zero stars but that's not a option. We purchased a stove and spent over $5,000. They told us the day they would come out when the contractor showed up to install they were missing the leg bolts. We called the **** store to see what they could do to make it right and get us the bolts to complete the install so we did not have a fire place sitting in pieces in our living room. They said they would call us back, we called 4 separate times and not once did they return our call. We finally talked to the manager ***** and he was extremely rude saying "what's the big deal you only have to wait a few days" and we were going into a few days of 14 degree weather so it was a big deal. We were told the bolts would arrive the following Monday and here we are Thursday and no bolts. I called the installer who told me the bolts were never ordered and they are on a two week back order! So now we have a stove in pieces sitting in our living room and a hole in our roof! Unacceptable and they are doing nothing about it. We are NEVER doing business with them again and the Manager ***** needs to be fired for how rude he was to me and my boyfriend.Review from Steve P

We purchased a Jacuzzi spa from Aqua Quip 2 years ago. I love our hot tub.... when it is working. While we have only had two issues, the time frame to repair is ridiculous. First time was a faulty temperature gauge which caused the safety switch to turn off thinking the tub was two hot. Took 4 weeks from the time I called for someone to come out and diagnose the problem, then they had to order the part. We waited 3 weeks for them to get the part, then another month before they could install it. We heard many excuses, but it was fixed after 3 months. One year later it trips circuit and won't stay on. Called, and again 3 weeks for someone to come out and diagnose, 3 weeks to get part, and earliest date to come replace bad heater is 1.5 months. This has been postponed and rescheduled by them twice now. Currently waiting for this period to pass until they can swap heater. Their people are great, but 3 months for each repair is stupid. Hot tubs parts fail, under warranty, but tub down 6 months in 2 years is not acceptable. 3 months each time to swap parts that takes about 20 minutes.Aqua Quip Response

***** is absolutely right, we don't dispute anything in this complaint and acknowledge the resulting frustration. As indicated, parts availability from the manufacturer has been less than ideal in this case, and twice we have had a technician not available on a scheduled service date - ordinarily when this happens we would send a different technician, however this customer lives quite a ways out from our service centers and we don't have a multitude of options to replace an ill or injured technician on short notice in this area. Obviously not the customer's problem and is understandably frustrating, but is the reality nonetheless. We are currently scheduled to replace a faulty heater which is causing his GFCI to trip this Friday, Dec. 8 which should resolve any remaining issues.Review from Leilani W

My husband and I purchased a Jacuzzi spa over 15 years ago from Aqua Quip. Loved it, looked beautiful and minimal maintenance over those years all provided by Aqua Quip. Sadly, as with all equipment, it needed to be replaced. We returned to Aqua Quip to purchase another Jacuzzi. This new purchase has been a very unpleasant experience. Started out wonderful, then took a nose dive. Ordered February 11, 2023 Delayed due to retooling No proactive notification of status We had to initiate inquiries on status. Was informed delay was due to the **275 retooling.Received Spa June 1, 2023 ~ We were lead to believe this should have been an easy plug and go. However, with the retooling, the electrical port was move 2+ feet from where our original *******'s electrical port was located. The Aqua Quip sales representative had to locate a electrician to reconfigure the hook up. Once this task was completed, said tech forgot to reconnect the outside lights.~ Once spa was filled with water, one light did not work correctly, and 4 others lenses were shattered. Made an appointment, and tech came out 30 days later without the needed parts. Then, it took another 30 days to get another tech out here to correct all this with the right parts. A couple of days later we discover that the spa was leaking! Another tech came, found the leak, but didn't have the proper parts to fix it. It's a half hour fix, and they had the part on another truck, but they couldn't coordinate to get the part that day. Made an appointment for 7 days later, a Friday, and on that day they called and said their tech called in sick, so the appointment would have to be delayed for ANOTHER 7 days. Now we're starting that 7 day wait. So, spa ordered on Feb. 11, 2023...delivered to our home June 1, 2023....it is Sept. 15, 2023, and we still do not have our $13,500, paid-in-full spa working. Time will tell if we can give them a higher rating. ***********************************
