I entered a contest for a free portrait sitting on ********* It isn't free. They want over 200 dollars from my bank account. I don't think they have the right to lie, saying I was chosen first in a contest with thousands of entries or that the sitting is free when they clearly want thousands of dollars. This is a scam at best. I can get 20 portraits from JCPENNEY for about 80 bucks. Stop advertising this fake contest. It isn't a contest. It's a scam or a hustle. The sitting isn't free.Business response

First, you entered a giveaway for a free session along with print credit which covers an 8x10 print. I would think that's a great offer. Yes, we require a booking fee to hold your spot. Just like a hotel will charge you for one night if you make a reservation and don't show up. If you don't show up for your appointment we have lost the ability to fill that spot with another client. It was stated to you that the booking fee is 100% refundable. All you have to do is show up. ******************* does offer photography as well and it may be that ******************* is more your style of photography and there is nothing wrong with that. We are not *******************.

This is a scam and you should treat it like a scam. We won this so called contest and my wife put a $200 refundable amount on our credit card which they said ''was just to hold the spot you wont be charged''. My wife called them and told them she could not make it almost 2 weeks prior to the appointment. To my surprise i logged into my credit card account and there was a charge for $245 for something we didn't even go to.... Not only was this charge more than the $200 deposit we were told about but it was for something we didn't even do. I'm not the only one that's been scammed by this company.Initial Complaint

On August 4th I was scammed by this company. I was told I won a competition (this is how they gain business after doing my research). I went in for a photo shoot with my daughter. They spent about 10 minutes with my daughter taking pictures, and would not disclose pricing until after the shoot. They would not let me leave without paying or setting up a payment plan to pay thousands of dollars. I was never told this was this case- ever. No where on their site is there exact pricing, just a range. This company is a complete scam! They have done this to several people! Close them down.Business response
