My husband and I lived in a room for eight months and paid our rent every month on time with rent receipts approximately the end of May I noticed one of my neighbors had extreme sores when I asked her what it was she told me it was bedbugs she is in room 23 she told me that the owner *** told her to keep it on the down low I ended up calling ***** county health department and they came out and I showed them the bedbugs in the bag ... I was hassled and bribed for being the whistleblower out of my home I was never returned my rent for **** which I still have a rent receipt for totaling $750 plus $50 deposit she also illegally locked me out stole the keys so that we couldnt leave up until 10 **** she still continues to ignore the bedbug problem telling people they are fleas I have acquired so many fees this month due to her negligence in dealing with the problem I would love to have my $800 returned to me for which I have a rent receipt honestly the place needs shut downBusiness response

The Colwell Motor INN with respect responds to the follow instant complaint filed by ************************ eight-month residents at the Motel. The Cowell Motor Inn values all guest who stay at the facility.
The complaint however has no merit and *********************** no longer resides at the hotel she complains of. The guest was escorted off the property by local law enforcement which was unfortunate but became necessary. *********************** is ban from the property. In reference to the Motel cleanliness, we at the Cowell take this seriously, maid service is provided with clean linens always for our guest. We are unaware of any health violations and if there were they would be corrected immediately. Any room deposits paid, are always returned if any received or other prepaid fees.We will consider this matter closed.
