I took my motorcycle to Magics 10/28/22 I got rear ended.I got a quote for $3,453. Insurance paid and **** said they needed cash upfront to start the job, cant put it on a card or check. So I paid in full cash Saturday November 19. **** was there and isnt that great on the computer I asked for a receipt he hand wrote it on a piece of scrap paper. **** told me my bike would take 3 days to complete after he got the parts hes not that busy.No other paperwork involved.I waited until January and called for an update still waiting on parts late January, still waiting on parts. I get a call 1st week of Feb,my parts are in and the painter is a week out then it will take 2 weeks to paint then another 3 days to set real good then they will get it back together I told ********** was disappointed I was told it would take 3 days after parts came in, they had my bike 4 months can he give me a completion date he said No, if you dont like it you can come get your bike and parts why ? he only quoted 5.5hrs for paint and now its taking 24 days he told me I could deal with the painter. So I called for a week left messages every morning for **** to call me. He has my, motorcycle, paid in full, his employee told me to get my bike and now wont return my phone calls. I tried for a week no return call. I left him a message Friday Feb 17 that I am coming to get my bike. I showed up he told me I couldnt have my bike that I am under contract even though Im paid in full and havent signed a thing, and his employee told me to come get it and thats HIS bike. The cops were called, **** had a backdated contract for me to sign also a statement saying there is no completion date ever. The receipts for my parts is dated 12/15 a month after I paid in full.He kept $913 in labor he didnt perform and said hes not giving it back, even though his own employee opted out of the project. I didnt get my painted ********** bike is incomplete. His only comment I guess **** was having a bad day

First of all you got a QUOTE for $3453.00 so don't say you didn't get paperwork. We have no control over ****** ******** motorcycle company. Your parts were back ordered so it took longer to get. The date on the receipt is the day I had to pay for the parts up front. I don't have an account with ****** ********. I am an independent CUSTOM MOTORCYCLE SHOP. NOT A COLLISION CENTER. You received a receipt for your money. You said just write it on a piece of paper. You were ok with that. Our company policy for insurance jobs is to receive payment in full up front before starting any work or ordering on the job. You knew that before you dropped off the motorcycle. The insurance company then paid YOU DIRECTLY which is why we asked for cash to ensure the job would be paid in full as per our company policy. The paper work for the invoice was sent directly to the insurance company which is how they determined how much money to pay out to you. You should have received paperwork from your insurance company. We give out paperwork to you the customer at the completion of the job. Yes, three days to complete after I got the parts. BACK FROM THE PAINTER.The 5.5 hours is the labor for the PAINTER TO PAINT THE PARTS ONCE HE STARTS THE **** You must have forgotten that part. So when the parts came in from ****** YOU GOT A CALL FROM US. Our painter is the BEST in the state. He is a busy guy, we do not have any control over his business. There was NEVER any mention or statement saying that YOU could deal with the painter. You did not call every morning for a week, You called 1 week before the parts were scheduled to go to paint and were told what the painters current timeline was for the job. We could not give you an exact completion date so we gave you an updated timeline. You did not like this timeline and got upset and started to accuse us of not doing our job and for wasting your time which is why you were told to come get the bike. You then got more defensive and accused us of not running our business properly and that we were s******* you over. When motorcycles are in possession of a Licensed shop WE ARE LIABLE FOR THAT BIKE this is you needed to sign release papers. The cops were called by OUR REQUEST because you were out of control yelling, shouting, cursing, insulting and entering posted employee only areas demanding that we let you take your bike. We do not have the abilities to backdate our contracts so that is a lie as well. There is no completion date and it is not industry practice to give future completion dates when one can not be determined through circumstances beyond our control. As far the $913 in labor, this is also payment to the painter who had started the job before you picked up the bike we never had the opportunity to finish the job because YOU OPTED OUT, and as seen by YOU when you picked up the bike it was disassembled and awaiting the painted parts. You also posted the pictures of your damaged bike before you brought it to us to our ****** business page for reasons unknown to us?. As of this reply your painted parts are near completion and you will be notified when we receive them as per the original agreement.

I am rejecting this response because:

You are lying. **** told me to come get the parts and and the unfinished bike and to deal with the painter myself, are you calling me a liar ? At that point any contract you had was voided by *******How could I trust this shop after ** told that. Read the Yelp reviews they are documented and updated daily. The police were called because you said it was your bike and I couldnt have it. Ya I got upset that took a lot of ego at that point I knew I had to get my bike out of there. Regardless whether the paperwork was back dated you still had me sign it AFTER the fact with the cops there telling me to do so. Even when I didnt agree. I was told to just sign. Why did you wait a month after I paid you to order my parts. You had cash in hand in November. I dont blame the painter for anything I blame you I didnt hire him you did.You should have scheduled it better. Bottom like return a phone call, Im not surprised you dont think I didnt call everyday you dont check your messages. You had my brand new $31,000 Harley ******** in your shop and your saying indomitable call you everyday for a week? You owe me labor money parts and my license plate. Your guy forfeited the project when he told me to come get my unfinished bike parts and deal with the painter myself. Be a man own it.

      Sincerely,

      ***************************

On May 26 2022 I took my Harley ******** in to be diagnosed as to why it would start buy stay running. I explained that I had already changed the coils, cleaned and cleared the gas ta k as well as added a new fuel filter and result the carburetor. On July 29th After reaching out to them for 2 months, I was finally able to to reach them to say I was going to pick up my bike. They told me they diagnosed it as having no spark. I explained that no, it had spark when I brought it in as it had new coils. I once again said I was coming to get me bike.I was told it would be $211 to get my bike. An hour later I received a mesage on my machine from them saying it was bad fuel, I explained again that I had drained the tank completely and changed fuel filters before brining it in. They asked me if I wanted to dig deeper. I went the next day to pick up my bike. They then decided to charge me and additional $100 dollars to gwt my bike. My **** was then $313.49. My bike was not diagnosed and no issue was fixed. I feel they had not even looked at my bike until they got the call from me. I paid the bull to ensure I could get possession of my bike back.

Sorry that it took longer than your expectations. I was not aware that we were under a time frame as you stated upon drop-off that you were in no hurry and you were NOT promised a completion date. When the bike came in, we could not get it to start which is the first step in the diagnosis process. We then checked for spark, there was no spark. Through discovery of the diagnostics which included checking the electronic ignition that is seperate from the coil, we eliminated the possibility of the electronic ignition being bad as it was sending signal to the coil. After further diagnostics we discovered that the coil was wired backwards. We then proceeded to wire it correctly and fixed the spark issue.

Next in the line of diagnostics was fuel delivery. We noticed that the accelerator pump was not operating. We then proceeded to fix the accelerator pump issue. The circuitry to the pump was plugged solid and the diaphragm was in upside-down. Next in the diagnostics was to find the reason for the plugged accelerator pump circuitry. The fuel tank had a milky substance in it as well as the fuel lines and filter. While doing the diagnostics we installed a new in line fuel filter (attached is picture of old fuel filter said to be "new" upon drop-off) which brings me to question your statements about you cleaning the carb, gas tank, fuel lines, and the new coil. We were trying to save you money while we were already diagnosing to fix your bikes issues. When we were in contact with you, we asked if you would like to go further and you declined. I feel you are frustrated by the time frame it took to get to our conclusions and I feel that your complaint is not warranted.
