      I have become a victim of fraudulent practices carried out by ******'s Auto Repair, a car repair company. I firmly believe that Salmon Auto Repair has violated the Washington Consumer Protection Act in the following ways: wrongful repair, consumer fraud, unjust enrichment, and unfair and deceptive practices.In October 2023, *******************************, a mechanic working for ******'s Auto Repair, recommended that I replace the Suspension Strut/Shock Absorber - Rear Suspension - Both Sides on my 2003 ****** Avalon, at a cost of $1,588.89. However, a prior inspection by ****** Seattle in August 2022 had suggested repairs totaling $11,971.23, but the overall brake condition was deemed in a fair condition.After the repair, I was unable to drive the car due to a control arm problem that was already identified in the ****** Seattle inspection, which ******************** had reviewed. When I confronted him, he confirmed that my car was not safe to drive . I was unable to argue with ******'s Auto Repair at the time due to personal circumstances.When I returned in January 2024 and requested the manager, *******************, to rectify the situation, he refused to perform the repair without obtaining a release of liability from me first. Unwilling to sign such a document before being able to verify with an independent mechanic that the car is safe to drive, I filed a small claims court case. I had already spent $1,588.89 on the repair and $2,428 on storage and was able to sell the car for only $290 to *********** Auto Dismantlers in January 2024.Additionally, when I arrived and parked my car nearby, I asked passersby to serve the shop with legal documents. However, some employees of ******'s Auto Repair shop refused to accept the package for service and threatened to tow my rental car, further confirming Salmon's Auto Repair's unfair business practices. At the end one of the employees of ******'s Auto Repair accepted the service from passerby.Sincerely, ************

      I brought my car in for engine misfire issues. They replaced the spark plugs, the ignition coil, and the engine valve cover gasket. I brought the car back because the check engine light was still on after I drove it away, and it was still running poorly. They did some work and I picked it up again. Over the next few weeks I noticed the mileage had gone from 30 to 19.1 miles per gallon. I called them and they said to bring it back with the understanding that they would check it and fix it at no cost. They quoted me 1600 to fix random things that "might be related to the mileage" but took no responsibility for the mileage issue. I took the car home because at that point I thought they were scamming me and I did not trust them at all with my car. I wrote a negative Yelp review explaining what happened and the owner looked up my personal phone number from the intake paperwork and started incessantly calling me for weeks until I accidentally picked up. He monologued for ten minutes about "wanting to make it right", that "he didn't know the full story", but that it was all due to a "communication error" because his main mechanic "didn't speak English as a first language." I am deeply uncomfortable that he sought my personal phone number to harass me. I am a private citizen and a former customer. The mileage issue was already pretty bad, but harassing any customer that leaves a negative review publicly is despicable.
