      I actually wanted to share that my original BBB review caused me to be retaliated against by a member of the board so I had to remove it. Not only was I threatened he did it twice via email on 2/28. I have endured this treatment from the board for almost 2 years. Since I confronted the board and the Copeland Group with allowing the board to have communications that defamed residents and made allegations against other residents. (These emails were sent to me by a fed up board member), I was turned on quickly. The Copeland Group stopped being responsive and were ignoring my requests the board members became worse. I stand by my original review of how I was treated wrongly by the board and that the Copeland Group turns a blind eye and started bullying/ignoring me as well. Even with documented proof the board was out of line Copeland Group did nothing. A company that manages a board and a community should be concerned of the health of the community and ensure the board members dont get carried away and cause the continued legal liability that the board members have been creating for the last 15 months. Prior to this confrontation of the board being out of line, all was great; I was looked at as a great resource, volunteer and ally in the community. The nonstop bullying has led me to leave my home and put it up for sale. Now interactions I have with this company or the board are horrible drawn out nonsense and today the board member threatened to try to impede my sale. Never an apology. The board has violated many bylaws in the last 15 months and this company sits and does nothing. The board does not provide the full documentation from meetings and when asked for items that were shared on a what they call an unofficial site with most owners allowed in the group by the board; this company says "the board hasn't been great about taking notes"; so other owners are not allowed to know what they are doing. It's all wrong; its time for a new management company and board.

      This reviewer is the former owner of a unit at a condominium association for which we serve as the managing agent (also known as the Association Manager). We have no obligation, right or authority to control any action (or non-action) of the *****. We can, of course, offer suggestions or recommendations. But the *****, pursuant to its governing documents and state statutes, ultimately makes its own decisions regarding budgets, policies, minutes, and such. How they choose to communicate or otherwise conduct their business is also, ultimately, their decision. A complaint that we have failed to ensure the board members dont get carried away makes no sense. That is not our job and there is no way we can do that.In our nine years of working with this ***** of ********** we have not heard of any complaints similar to this one. We are sorry this person has found her experience with one or more members of the ***** unsatisfactory. We also regret that she believes she has reason to complain about the services we provide to this association.

      This response is both erroneous and off-putting. 1) The Copeland Group website states "We work with the ***** of ********* to establish good policies to guide its many important decisions, drawing on Copeland's expertise and years of experience working with community associations. Then, we make sure the *****'s decisions and policies are carried out in the best possible manner." - But that's what I was complaining about. The complaints I made to the company were about the *****'s decisions and policies not being met or carried out. This is dire and why I know this complaint is 100% valid against this company. Their management is not adequate and does not properly ensure items are carried out per the board documents.2) The Copeland group website states " Excellent communication is essential in every aspect of quality association management. Each of the many people we work with ***** members, owners, renters, vendors, employees is important, regardless of their role. We prioritize clear, consistent communication to make these relationships the best they can be"I had asked multiple times via email for documents with no reply. Multiple emails! It is the community's right to see board documents but over the course of a year and multiple times asking; I was not responded to. I could not get access to items that I had a right to per the board governing documents. I even called this out in multiple emails. I was ignored. 3)1) The Copeland Group website falsely claims they have the highest level of accreditation this is false. The **** is the highest.It saddens me greatly that a company can have this amount of false advertising on their site and not carry through. This is why I feel my complaint is fair and just. I only requested items per the governing documents and never received a response. The one time I received a response via email it was "the board isn't good about keeping minutes". But this company attends said meetings.4) The governing documents state that the meetings are to be held per "Robert's ***** of Order" and that never happened at any meeting I attended. I witnessed people being muted because the board didn't like what they wanted to discuss. This company has major issues and will not follow the governing documents even if you ask about items that you are entitled to.
