I purchased a ticket through Eventbrite and the event page states Id receive an email immediately after purchasing telling me how to log on. I did not receive this email so I emailed the organizer and Eventbrite several times over the course of several days letting them know this and got no response from either. I eventually got an email one hour before the event which I did not see because I wasnt looking for it since I was supposed to get it immediately. Im not even sure if the event happened but I contacted both parties over 20 times within a month letting them know all this. I never got a response from fun singles but EB said they could not refund my money and that fun singles has to do it. How can I request a refund when they dont respond?! Im almost certain they are scamming people and Im writing this review to discourage others from losing/wasting their money like I did. They will not respond to this inquiry as well Im sure, because they obviously do not care.Review from Jeff W

I signed up for this based on an Ad and they have in their offer that they "Guarantee" they will connect you with singles in the city you live on based on gender and a few other filters of your choosing. It turns out not only will they not refund or honor their offer but when I contacted their support they simply advised me there are no refunds and that is that. Not only did it take 45 minutes of waiting to even connect with another member at the time window provided for this service but once I finally did get a lady on the line she was in a city across the country in ********** and I live in *********, ********. I thought ok the next one will be better and the next person was a male that lived in a far away city in ******* and I specifically chose to only talk with women in a certain age range in the Greater St. Louis ***** Run from this company they will scam you.Review from Jason B

My experience was similar in that there was no one even close to me. The closest was over 3 hours away and not even a close match. I paid for several of these over a year and found them to be a scam. I am now seeing they have done this nationwide which makes me really not like MeetUp dot com anymore.Review from Robert H

Okay, here is my experience. The first event was kind of a waste of time. The wait time was long and I didnt get to talk to too many people. The customer support explained it as too many people in the queue and I was not sure why I was left out. Anyway, the second event was much better. I got to talk to seven ladies and one of them was very sweet. Luckily we matched and started chatting on The Fun Singles and now texting. I feel this app can **** sometimes but when it works its great!Review from David M

Total scam. Total scam. Total total scam. IF YOU ARE A MAN, you will sit for hours and never get paired with anyone within 100 miles. Women report similarly bad experiences. (Check out their Yelp page, many complaints.)I've attended FOUR of their two-hour speed dates (foolishly I gave them a second chance). Tonight I got paired with exactly one woman, after waiting 80 minutes (yes, an hour and 20 minutes) and she lives 300 miles from me! I've tried things like showing up early - no luck. I've tried everything. Wish I knew how to shut this company down, because it's infuriating to get your hopes up only to realize you've been scammed. They waste your money AND your time, and you have no recourse. They must have 10x more men than women, so we men show up for a speed-date and are shown a list of more than 10 women who "presumably" I will meet tonight. TOTAL ********. In truth, you'll wait and wait and never meet any of them, and if you do get one, she will be hundreds of miles away, too far to ever actually date.There is no excuse for this rip-off. This site promises to meet singles from your area, then puts you in touch with people from outside your area, and in my situation put me in touch with someone the opposite gender of the one I was trying to meet.Their advertising was deceptive and manipulative. Their support line was very unhelpful. I strongly recommend AGAINST using this business. It is a scam.Review from Gina A

I would give 0 stars if possible. This is a scam. I only met two people in two hours and I tried on two different devices. It tried to connect to two other people but wouldn't connect. This is the worst virtual speed dating experience I've ever had. I tried to contact customer service and I'm still waiting on a response. This is disgusting. I want my money back!Review from LM S

Don't waste your money on this scam site. You connect with people very far away, no point to it. No support, no way to get a refund.
