On June 17, 2022, I contracted with Carole McClelland for a simple repair to a Borgazia faux fur coat (vintage 1970's). The coat needed the interlining to be sewn along the arm pit to the length of the coat and one of the sleeves to be repaired because the lining was hanging out a bit much. ******** law does not allow furrier business to exist in the state. Therefore I took it to ******* for repairs.Carole looked over the coat and said that it was not a real fur coat. She said the repairs were simple and she would do the work, have the coat dry cleaned afterwards. I told Carole she could take her time because she told me she was working on a wedding dress for her dentist who gave her a discount on dental work she (Carole) really needed. She showed me the wedding dress in her studio. That's why I told her to take her time. After all a wedding dress is more important. I did not realize that it was going to take six months! I am attaching the exchange of text messages from my phone to her ************** number. I now believe she is pulling some kind of scam to get more money out of me by billing more hours! And she texted she will not return my refund of $200.00. I am sending a PDF of her Repair Claim Check and the word document of the text exchange.She has done no work on the coat in six months! I want the coat that I took to her studio on June 17, 2021 and I want my refund. She has no professional integrity! Who in there right mind conducts business by scamming a client! Apparently she does!
