I called ASAP Elite Movers (www.asap-elite.com; ************, and also ************) on Monday 11/6/2023 at approximately 11:30 am CST and set up/scheduled with them 2 movers (labor) to meet me at my *************************************************** residence on the morning of 11/16/2023 to help me move furniture and other household belongs out of my rented house and into a U-Haul box truck that I rented for the day. They were then to also help me offload the same items into a storage unit that I had rented at ***********************************************************. The woman who I spoke with on the phone (I believe her name might have been *********) quoted me $500 for the job, based on two laborers for a total of 6 hours time. She said it would either be the same two laborers or two different laborers for the offloading. She said that a 25% deposit was required with the rest due upon completion. She said they only use payment apps and asked me to pay the deposit via Venmo. She instructed me to send the $125 to account @*********-9, which I did and have a record of the transaction. She confirmed over the phone that the $125 was received and that my movers were booked for the 16th. On November 16th no one ever showed up. I called the company and the same woman apologized, saying that the people they had contracted with to help me move cancelled at the last minute. I asked her to send me back my deposit. It never happened. I called them again in December and she said that they were working on it. I called again in January without success. It is now Feb. 5, **** and I want my $125 back since they absolutely nothing to earn it.Business response

Due to accounting changing we no longer use Venmo as payment and that account we no longer have access to, We reached out to the client and asked for another option to refund the funds and they provided zelle info which we sent it today back to him 02/22/2024. We apologized to the client for the delay and took on the responsibility. We can send proof of payment if requested. Again we are sorry that there was a super long delayCustomer response

I recently lodged a compaint with you against a business, ASAP Elite Movers (www.asap-elite.com). While they still did not provide any labor to help me move on the day it was supposed to happen, they just now did return my deposit of $125. I have your organization to thank for that. I guess we can take down the complaint since I got my money back. But I still would caution other consumers who are thinking of using them for assistance in moving. Based on my own unfortunate experience, labor through them may or may not show up on the scheduled day. And you may have to work to get your deposit back. Thanks again BBB.
