June 12th, June 13th and few days later around 16th. Bradley Johnson lawyers in *******, ** advertises as a DUI law firm. I contacted them to seek representation, they required the money on June 12th then harassed me into completing the transaction with a signature. After a few days I called up the firm, and did not have a receipt which I was repeatedly promised, a copy of any paperwork or information. That was the last I heard from the firm at all, not one person reached out through any means. It had been a few months and this was definitely unacceptable. There has been no services rendered but they took $4000. They convinced or harassed me to wait. Only one call a month ago due to a contact via website and phone call avoiding any responsibility. I told them several times that I do not want their service. They do not return calls or messages.

This client retained me as her criminal defense attorney on June 6, 2023.  At that time, her case was unfiled and I explained that the prosecutor's office had a 2 year Statute of Limitation time period in order to file the criminal charges against her.  In this particular case, there was a blood test result that would take about **** months to come back from the toxicology lab. It is very common for the prosecutor's office to wait to get the toxicology lab result before filing the criminal case in order to avoid running out of speedy trial time.

I explained all of this to the client. I told her that my office checks her docket every Thursday to ensure that a court date is not missed.  We do this to assist our clients in the pre-filing stages. We do not want our client to miss a court date and then have a warrant issue for their arrest. She agreed to hire.  As agreed, we have checked her docket every Thursday.

The client then disputed the charge with the bank even though she hired us and signed retainer paperwork.  We showed the signed retainer paperwork to the bank as evidence that we were hired officially by this client. I have called this client to discuss our work on her behalf.

I invite her to call my office to schedule a teleconference.

I am rejecting this response because: I fired, retracted my intent to hire. I notified immediately that I was charged on 6/6 so then why is there a contract that says 6/13? I have called numerous times, I will say that under oath. I asked for a refund, to the receptionist and voicemail. The excuse is insufficient. I do not need or want services. There has been nothing done except getting my money and avoiding me. I have not received a copy of anything alleged to be agreed and signed. I submit a picture of a copy of a copy of a document the business submitted to my credit card company. Please review and determine why I should not get a refund. states quite clearly I am eligible to obtain one. The ****** Maps review, ******** message and BBB doesn't sway the business to do the right thing. It was $4000 and nothing was done. So refund me the money. I do not want your services and will continue to provide my honest experience for others to decide upon themselves. The law firm Bradley Johnson has no integrity or morals. Unethical behavior.

      Sincerely,

      **********************

I paid them on June 6th, but didn't sign until July 13. They do not honor their own contract, but still try to impose it.

For some reason, this complaint was sent to my colleague, Attorney **************************** He is not Ms. ******* attorney. He forwarded her complaint to me so I could properly respond.

I previously responded to Ms. ******* previous complaint. Please review my prior response.

Ms. ***** hired my office, signed a retainer, and we worked on her case. Ms. ***** continues to file these baseless complaints. I am happy to speak with Ms. ****** I invite her to call my office and schedule a teleconference to speak with me. ************

I was contacted by phone prior to Nov 23, 2023 stating a check would be mailed for my refund. I am still waiting but am not in agreement that anything has been resolved or addressed.

Even though Bradley Johnson Lawyers did not believe a refund was warranted, the firm decided to address the issue in a generous manner and already refunded this client in full. The owner of the firm, **** Johnson, spoke to Ms. ***** tonight. She confirmed that she already deposited the check. Unsure why she is continuing to pursue this matter.
