I left my 2006 Lexus in the care of the Value Inn Lodging and Parking March *****. Upon my return, I noticed a fresh 3" depression and crack in the back bumper and informed the Value Inn Lodging and Parking staff. At this time, I immediately filled out a form provided by the Value Inn Lodging and Parking attendant. It is clear that the Value Inn Lodging and Parking team damaged my car while parking and maneuvering vehicles during this stay. The vehicles onsite were parked extremely close together. I am extremely disappointed in the fact that this was not disclosed to me when I picked up the car. An impact that caused this damage would have been noticed by the staff. Additionally, I paid $346.00 ** to ensure the safe keeping of the vehicle. I have reported this incident to the ********** ***************** (Case number 23-10331). Despite many calls and emails, I have not heard back from Value Inn Lodging and Parking staff.Business response

At check in we had the guest fill out paperwork stating that we are not responsible for loss or damage of the vehicle. We have one driver who has been working with us for over 12 years who moves the vehicles from the front of the parking lot to the back which is about 40 feet maximum. At check in the guest would have seen where his vehicle was parked as we ask for Guests keys at check in and we move the vehicle to the front at check out when the guest returns back from their trip. If the guest was not okay with this procedure during his stay he could have informed ** and not left his vehicle there. We provide the guest with a parking spot. We do apologize that you feel this had taken place at our site. We have cameras at our site in the back of the lot as well and front. We do apologize that you feel that no one spoke with you however, the *** of the site had informed the same things to the guest explaining the situation. We have many guests everyday who park their vehicles on our lot and have walked away very happy and return back as well.Customer response

I am rejecting this response because:The fact a business ****** "At check in we had the guest fill out paperwork stating that we are not responsible for loss or damage of the vehicle" is not relevant. They are a business that charges for the service of caring for a vehicle. They are the ones that parked the vehicle, and moved the vehicles multiple times. They caused the damage to my vehicle, and should pay for the repair.
An employee of this business caused the damage, and the business made no effort to investigate the issue (despite notification upon arrival, and having multiple cameras), resolve the issue, or even address the issue other than stating: "At check in we had the guest fill out paperwork stating that we are not responsible for loss or damage of the vehicle" and "I am sorry". I will never park there, but other prospective customers should be aware of this business and their lack of accountability for thier mistakes.
