In Oct. 2021 I started looking for movers to move my husband and my belongings from *********, ** to *********, **. Every well known moving company was busy and couldn't move us, so based on positive reviews online I contacted ************* at *******'s Finest Moving and Hauling Company. ************* stated he would move our belongings for $16,000 and would crate them and take them to Span Alaska to ship them to AK. We signed a contract for the move that was to take place on Dec. 10, 2021. We flew to ** on 12/10/21 and met ************* and his movers at our *********, ** storage unit. We paid him in full up front at his insistence. ************* and his movers left with our stuff and we flew back to AK. On 12/13/21, my husband and I decided to fly back to ** and go through our stuff again at ***************** storage facility at his company in *******. I asked ************* for address of his storage facility and he finally responded with the address of a storage facility across the street from our storage facility in *********, **. I persuaded him to return all of our boxes to our previous storage unit, which he did on 12/14/21. All of our boxes were opened and gone thru. I persuaded ************* to give me a key so I could hire another moving company and get the rest of our stuff out of his unit. Our belongings had been gone through, our IRS forms were missing, our identify was stolen and shopped on the black web. Our belongings were dirty, moldy, wet and broken/damaged. We called Span Alaska and found they no contract with *************. On 1/12/22 I filed a police report against *************, they said it was a civil matter. On 1/18/22 we hired a reputable mover to mover all of our stuff and take it to AK. We paid them approx. $17,000, and finally got our belongings to AK. On 1/25/22 I contacted ************* and demanded a refund of the $16,000 we had paid him. He ignored me. I want my $16,000 back.
