I parked at a garage in ********, ********** that is managed by Platinum Parking on 6/28/24. I used their QR code and paid for parking from 1204 to 1404. I came back at 1330 to find a $95 ticket had been issued at 1307 with the violation failure to pay. I have called each number multiple times, left 3 voicemails, filed the dispute online and sent another email with the proof of payment, dates and times. Their answering machine states they will return my call within 2 days. Five days later I still have not received ANY response. The violation also states I only have 7 days to dispute this violation. The seventh day falls on 7/4 which is a holiday. I leave for ****** for a month on 7/5. This is extremely frustrating as well as poor business practice.

We appreciate ********'s position however after reviewing her complaint and the information she provided it's clear that she simply entered her license plate information in the Parkwhiz system incorrectly. The photo of her plate matches the plate number in our violation records but not the information she entered into the payment system. This happens from time to time, and the notice has been voided and a confirmation email has been sent to the address she provided in our system.

We do not accept phone messages for violation notice disputes. They are only accepted in writing and responded to within 5-7 business days.

I am rejecting this response because:

Clearly I did not put my license plate number in the wrong spot. Attached is a document I received from your website stating my license plate number. As for not responding to phone calls, your answering machine should not say to leave a message.
If this happens often updating your website so that this doesnt happen often should be your top priority since this is the nature of your business!
Today, six days later, I did receive the email acknowledging my payment. No further action is needed.

      Sincerely,

This parking company took over our apartment complex parking lot and ruined the experience of our living situation. We have been emailing back and forth and decided I owed them $575 for my parking spot that I was renting. They then proceeded to over charge me by +$200 thinking I wouldnt notice it. I didnt trust it to begin with, and will never be parking near platinum parking again. A giant scam!

*************************** has been parking her vehicle since October 2021 but never paid for monthly parking. In an attempt to collect outstanding debt, Platinum Parking Northwest has offered to collect $575.00 for monthly parking which only includes charges since the beginning of 2023, cancelling all previous debt. A computer-generated error resulted in additional $200.00 charge to *************************** account and was quickly reversed however, the charge went through before the adjustment took place and we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. *************************** has received a credit in the amount of $200.00 but she still owes $575.00 as well as any additional fees as long as she continues parking in the garage where she resides. She did submit a monthly parking cancellation request but according to our records, her vehicle remains on premises to this day. We thank ************** for her business and are happy to discuss this matter directly with ************** to accommodate her monthly parking needs.

      Complaint: 20125250

I am rejecting this response because:

False information, I have not parked on the ****** Platnium Parking lot since May 29th, 2023. I informed them before hand, like they have stated, that as of June 1st, 2023 I will no longer be parking anywhere on site. And I have stayed true to my word. Feel free to look at the parking garage security footage. As for the error of charge, I had contacted my bank right away to submit a dispute as a way to protect myself and my funds. The bank has taken matters into their own hands, and adjusted the amount to the correct payment. I have paid what I was asked to pay and do not owe anything else than what was stated in our emails. All issues are settled. That being said, I will not be a returning customer.

      Sincerely,

      ***********************

      Resolved
On 11/11/22 I parked in a lot owned by Platinum Parking located at *******************************************. The period of time elapsed was approximately 2 1/2 hours. As purely an oversight on my part I neglected to pay for my parking stall. I visit downtown ******* maybe once or twice a year and am not accustomed to the self-serve kiosk method of paying for parking. There was no attendant at the gate. That being said, I just received Unpaid Parking Notices for 8 consecutive days at $75 per notice ($800). Dating from 11/11 thru 11/18/22. This is the first communication I've gotten from them regarding this incident. Now they're saying (Per attached supporting documents) that this will be turned over to collections if not received within 10 days. They're telling me to pay $800 for 2 1/2 hours of parking. The only legitimate supporting document is the one from 11/11, when the incident occurred. All others, 11/12 thru 11/18 are falsified statements. If its within your power to do so. Please advise.Thank you

We utilize license plate cameras to document customer's entry and exit times in automated parking environments. This technology allows us to verify when a customer has entered and exited each day. The rate for parking that is not prepaid is at this location $75 per day.

We would be happy to review the records with our third-party vendor for this service for this customer who has admittedly not paid for ********************** and verify the days and times that their vehicle was in the garage. To accomplish this, we simply need the customers notice numbers and vehicle license plate number.

If this is the first notice that the customer is receiving, we would be willing to reduce the notice amount to the equivalent of the time parked at the location.

I am rejecting this response because:

If in fact, the third-party vendor is monitoring entry and exit times. Then it should be very clear that the only time I was there was on November 11th, late morning or early afternoon for approximately two and half hours. Upon viewing the photographs in the statement, it's clearly the same picture in all 8 alleged infractions. As stated before, I will gladly pay what I owe for the time I used the lot and a reasonable fine for my neglect. You should investigate this thoroughly as your third-party vendor is attempting to scam me and possibly others.

      Sincerely,

      *********************

After a review of the notices issued with our vendor. It was determined thar the initial notice was issued correctly, and the subsequent notices were issued due to an incorrect setting that has been corrected by our vendor.

We have requested that the invalid notices be voided which should take place on or before 2.10.23. The valid notice will be voided as a courtesy, and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

      Thank you for your patience.,

Got a ticket from this company alleging that on 9/6/22 we didn't pay for parking at a garage near ********** in *******. We paid $33+ for 2 hours of parking and then an hour later came back to the car and had a $75 ticket (#**********) saying we didn't pay. We have attempted to call this company but they don't answer the phone and the voice mailbox is always full so you can't leave a message. We also contested the ticket on their webpage but received no response from them. What happened is my wife typed in the plate number incorrect on the app. My plate is ********** and she entered it on the app as **********. I would like this ticket to be dropped as it was an honest mistake and we already paid the (outrageous) fee of $15+ an hour for the parking. I am sure they can look in their system and find that we did pay with this incorrect plate number. Further complicating the matter is that on their notice that I just got in the mail about the ticket they have a previous owner of the vehicle listed, so they would be sending the incorrect person to collections anyway.

The customer did relay through our third dispute resolution system that they did register their license plate incorrectly, that they paid for parking, but provided no form of confirmation or proof that they actually paid for parking. The system allows them to do this.

The dispute had not been followed up further due to the lack of proof of payment, and the fact that the customer paid the violation notice in full.

Mistakes like this do happen from time to time and we would be happy to void the notice and provide a full refund to the customer less our thirdparty vendors $5 admin fee, if they are able to provide a proof of payment.
