I went to the emergency department on 6/12 /2023. Ballard emergency physicians initially sent a claim but billed the wrong insurance. They needed to bill local blue again they sent two other bills to the wrong insurance. The third time the submission went to the appropriate insurance and the bill, $194 was paid. Meanwhile, with no notification Ballard emergency physicians sent my information to collections. It has taken me 25 to 30 calls to the collection agency and this is still not resolved. I sent in two emails with my *** proving that I do not owe the $194 and that the bill was paid. However, the collections agency at this point states that emergency physicians will not respond to my proof (***) and therefore my account is still in collections. My credit is on the verge of being destroyed due to their non-response. The *** plainly shows that I do not owe $194. The collection agency agrees with me. Yet Ballard Emergency Physicians will not review or respond. At this point I will probably need a lawyer to help me if BBB is unable to assist.

This business claims I owe them $1106.00. I have never been to their establishment. I haven't been to the hospital in the last 2 years or more and they certainly do not have my signature on any documents period; because I haven't been to any hospital. This is a *******************.I demand they take this information off of my credit report and advise their collection agency 'RCI Billing' in ******, **, that they have the wrong person.

Ballard Emergency Physicians on 05/05/22 provided services to me and never billed my insurance company for the amount of services: $1,691, per the required deadline. Instead (to attempt to remedy their mistake), they sent the bill directly to a collections agency (***********************.). When my insurance company called Ballard Emergency Physicians to inform them that they had not followed the guidelines for submitting claims, per their required deadline (and, that this should never have been sent to a collections agency), they hung up on my medical insurance agent and refuse to retract the collections claim. I am continuing to get letters from the collection agency despite my insurance company filing two appeals and grievances against Ballard Emergency Physicians claim.

Ballard Emergency Physicians sent me a statement dated 4/11/23 for $1,691. I mailed a personal check for the full amount, with the account number on the front, with the payment coupon on 4/26/23. The check cleared my bank on 5/3/23, six days before it was due. I started receiving past due notices shortly thereafter. Each time I called ************** to ask why I hadn't received credit for my payment. I provided a copy of my check (front and back) to BEP and to the collection agency. No one has ever explained why, nor has anyone explained why it was sent to a collection agency by mistake after I paid it. Ballard Emergency Physicians has had my money for over 90 days, but they tell me it will take between 30 and 45 days to resolve the issue. I am still dealing with the collection agency. NO resolution, NO explanation.

Ballard Emergency Physicians sent me to collections after no contact about a out standing bill. I had worked diligently with Swedish finance to make sure everything was taken care of, and this wouldnt happen. The debt collector said Ballard Emergency Physicians sent me a notice that was returned. It makes no sense since Swedish has my address and the original bill made it to me just fine. Now the debt collectors are telling me I still owe $1000.

My problem does not have to do with the services provided when I was in the hospital emergency room, but does have to do with the billing department of Ballard Emergency Physicians, which seems to be based out of *******. I received a statement via a link in a text message - not in the mail - for $1612, and made a payment (about 1/3 of the total owed). When I logged back into the billing portal, my payment was not reflected. I called the number provided multiple times, with always the same agent answering, asking to a. for them to send me a paper statement and b. why my payment was not reflected in the text messages that I kept receiving. About 2-3 months after my initial text message statement and my payment, I received a "final notice" with still the initial amount listed, and the threat to send my bill to collections. My HSA amount, by the way, showed that I had made that initial payment, so I know that the payment had been processed. A few days after the "final notice", I received a statement, reflecting my initial payment, and made another payment online, for which I received an e-mailed receipt.Few weeks later I received another "final statement", again reflecting my very initial balance of $1612, even though I had already paid $900 of that amount, with the threat to send my bill to collections. I tried contacting them again via the online chat function to confirm whether my payments had been received and asking to update the total that I owe, and was not able to come to a resolution.Furthermore, when I did a ****** search on the company, I saw that several people have had a similar experience of making payments and then being sent to collections for non-payments. The way that they're conducting business is sketchy, for the lack of a better word, and feels like a scam rather than a legitimate business.

They billed my insurance in December for the full amount, which my insurance paid and then billed me the full amount in April. We also paid the full amount. They have admitted they have copies of the check and also of our paid billing receipt, but are refusing to issue us a refund. They just keep saying theyre investigating. I have uploaded both our payment receipt and the check from the insurance company. This is fraudulent billing with no remedy received by the company.
