On 9/8, I paid Allure Esthetic $1220 in surgery fees for a surgery scheduled on 11/16. Prior to that I paid a $100 consultation fee. Yesterday (10/27), I was informed the surgery had to be cancelled. This is due to preexisting conditions, that Allure was aware of. I accept that it had to be cancelled. However, Allure is now refusing to refund those fees, which, per my contract, I am due back as it is their fault that the surgery was cancelled. I have called them multiple times, they have now stopped taking my calls, and the last time I got a receptionist she hung up on me.Business response

This has been resolved with the patient. All amounts have been refunded and nothing is due to the patient. As seen on the screenshot.
The patient disputed their transaction which led to additional delays with our accounting team.

On April 21, 2021, I had top surgery for gender affirmation. I had paid $8850 in ********* ********** Fedblue, reviewed the charges sent by Allure. Some of the charges were not applicable for a preferred provider with this insurance. The EOBs were processed on May 5th 2021. Allure was informed that the *** for the location of the surgery was incorrect. I had an appointment on May 31st and inquired about the refund that I was due. Several emails went back and forth about a "missing" EOB that Allure did not receive. On July 18th, I emailed again about the refund and was told that they were still waiting for insurance to process the information that was sent by mail instead of using the available portal. On Aug 18th, I finally heard from Allure who informed me of a $7300 refund. Again, adding a charge that is not allowed for a preferred provider. I responded several times, the last time being 9/16, but heard nothing. I would like a resolution of receiving $7550 owed to me.Business response

To whom it may concern:
This patient has been refunded in full by our practice as the delays experienced were due to discrepancies in the patients statements vs payments. Nothing is owed to this patient.
