I wouldnt give them one star if I didnt have to. Worst experience EVER! I was contacted by one of their advisors and before I even hung up the phone every facility she had sent my information to was calling. I had explained my families situation and the budget we needed to stay within. The budget did not matter, they sent my information to any and all facilities. The advisor was like a used car salesman. Very pushy and had little regard to what my family was trying to navigate. The advisor kept calling and texting and when I finally had the chance to speak with them, I told them where my family was in the process. The advisor took it upon themselves to inform all of the facilities, even those that I had interacted with on my own, that my family member was in the hospital. That was false information and none of their business to disclose. I would avoid using A Place For Mom and search communities on your own. You will be much better off doing it yourself and creating relationships with the employees that work within those communities.

I filled out a quick form for pricing on their website last night and was then informed they would be calling my phone number. Within thirty seconds the phone was ringing, and it was 7pm on a Saturday evening! I didn't answer it, and since then I've RECEIVED EIGHT MORE CALLS in less than 24 hours! I blocked their number and just received another call from a different number! After reading the terrible reviews about this organization and seeing how obviously pushy and desperate they are, I want nothing to do with this them. I want them to STOP calling me!!

A Place for Mom tried to claim a referral fee for services not owed. I found a home for my mother through another agency, and they claim the group home owes them a referral fee. I have sent them numerous documentations, proving I was working with another agency, and they keep sending invoices in a ridiculous amount. When I asked them to stop sending invoices and they said they do not deal with families. The only reason they don't want me involved is because they are wrong, and I have the proof to back it up. Stay away from this organization because all they do is send an email and then claim they are owed a referral fee. The Group Home will not be paying the invoice as A Place for Mom is not owed a referral fee and already paid the Agency who truly helped me. Their goal does not seem to be to help struggling families, but to make a commission!

This organazation started harrassing phone calls immedialtely after I submitted an online form for information. I tild the fist caller that I had all I needed, but then came more calls obviously from worldwide call centers. This is a discusting practice to not respect my request and then to share my information.

This service is a complete scam. It is always the first to populate when you do any kind of search on ************ They say they will provide you pricing and basic info on local places. I just wanted basic information. They called, and called, and called and gave my name and number to a zillion places in this area who constantly phoned me as well. They are worse than telemarketers and are preying on people who are already in a difficult situation. I told ********************* I didn't want her service yet she continues to call or email me. I've notified her that I want no further contact. DO NOT USE "A Place for mom" I wish I didn't have to even click on 1 star. They deserve a negative 5 star rating.

This place treated my father and I like garbage. I asked to contact a single location and their agent ***** recommended me to dozens of strangers without permission. My phone goes off 5-10 times a day even after I asked him to stop contacting me. He claimed that I agreed to the dozens of calls and that he recorded me saying so. I will specifically tell my friends not to use this website. I feel violated, I won't use any of their recommended housing as I know they give a kickback to this place. If this isn't harassment, I don't know what is.

Do not use this agency as they have a monopoly with senior resources and will redirect you to unaffordable or connected resources under their oversight. I have asked them to remove my contact info quickly after I found them unhelpful and since then both my parents have passed away. I again let them know after they reached out to me AGAIN after one of my parents passed, to remove my contact info. It has now been over a year since both my parents have since been deceased and they continue to reach out to me randomly and does not help my grief journey.

Please avoid this organization.After working with them to attempt to help my 99 year old aunt in *******, it became clear immediately that they had sold my contact information. I started getting ***** calls a day soliciting life insurance, nursing homes, and anything else you can think of related to the elderly. After 3 months of this, I am probably going to have to change my phone number. The calls, after 3 months, have tapered down to about ***** a day since I no longer answer my phone.Helping a loved one is hard enough. This classless operation needs to be reported and avoided at all costs. After all is said and done, they didn't do a **** thing for me or my loved one, except provide multiple headaches.

This is a terrible organization that just thought of a business idea based on an identified need (elders needing care) so they earn a commission if you select a place bc it was on their list. Do yourself a favor and just do your own search. You’ll get better intel yourself and avoid the annoying constant contact from agents seeking to earn a commission even after being told multiple times their service is not desired. They knew nothing about actual local places, provided names that didnt match our criteria, and to places that told us had not even registered to be on their list. It appears that they just compiled a list using the same search I could do online. And then insert their link to the name of all the facilities so when I thought I was sending email to agency, it went through this org first so they end up earning a commission if placement happens subsequent to that inquiry channeled through their link. I don't know why that is even allowed. I am so fed up with the ongoing contact they continue to make after months of requesting they stop.

********* phone calls! I gave my information and sure, I'd expect one or two phone calls but there have been almost ten calls in 12 hours and some too late to call. I will call any nursing facility or assisted living before I would ever recommend A Place For Mom. There's "wanting to help" and then there's harassment. This is 100% harassment.
