I have documentation of a tow service occurring less than an hour from the time the police contacted them to the time they dropped me and my car off at home. I have a ring camera that shows the drop off time. They charge $254/hr but they charged me $689 for the hour. At most this service should have been $254. A the police officer arrived on scene at 6:23PM and didnt contact the tow driver until after conducting the investigation at 6:42 when I called my husband asking where to tow the vehicle.

I pulled into the 7/11 in Freemont, ******* area on 36th and Greenwood on June 10,2023 around 8:30pm. When i pulled into the parking lot it already looked suspicious. There were 3 tow trucks just hanging around. 2 were Langs Towing Company and the other one was Am/Pm towing. I parked went inside and grabbed a ********* Was literally inside for one minute I'm checking out and the cashier said hey if that's your car you better hurry and get outside. I look outside and the Lang towing truck already has his truck under my car about to tow it. I run out there and other customers are yelling at them to stop and telling them I'm a customer. The other Lang truck told them to put it down. They were not welcome at 7/11, the owners kicked them off of the property They were literally just waiting to tow people's cars for no reason at all. I was in the store for literally 1 minute. I couldn't even imagine if they would've done it when I had my daughter and would've taken off with her carseat in there. These tow trucks drivers are getting way out of hand and action needs to be taken!

I am rejecting this response because:
LANG TOWING isn't taking any responsibility for trying to impound 7/11 shoppers for their own gain for no reason at all. There is no excuse for their actions and they need to be held accountable for what they did! When they tried to tow my car they got kicked off the property by the owner. Lang Towing you need to do better. If i would've had my daughter with me I would of stayed until the police came so they can handle you guys. I'll make sure to spread the word about your business and how horrible you guys are!
      Sincerely,

I was having a medical emergency and ended up at ******************. They refused to treat me for a mild asthma attack and instead of doing so they gave me 4 times the amount of sedation medicine because I did not feel safe after multiple hours being there left untreated. By them doing so they put me into a coma for several days in which I was then transferred to harbor view medical hospital and was on a ventilator for 4 days. When they finally revived me and I woke up it was too late to get my car and Lang towing had towed my vehicle. I was partially paralyzed and could not even use my hands. I got out of the *** on May 25th. I contacted Lang towing to try and get information about my vehicle and rush down to the court house so I could get a court date set for an emergency tow hearing. **** refused to send me the information and give me my bill amount. I went down to the court house anyways and was told I needed the form filled out and I would have to wait until Tuesday and then try again and if **** refused to give me the paperwork for the hearing I could try filling it without their info and signature. I have not been able to work and am still learning how to fully walk again on my own. I have many appointments that I have scheduled and really deseperately need my vehicle. By being in the coma for longer than 24 hours there are a few things I developed that will long life illness I will have to live with now. This was the scariest thing I have ever had to deal with my entire life and this extra stress is not good for me. Lang Towing refused to even give me my tow amount due to my address not being the same as the one which the mailed the bill to. I'm afraid I won't be able to get my car back or a emergency hearing in time before it's too late to get the my car out the tow yard. Please help! I have no family to help me with this bill either. I have video evidence of northwest negligence and malpractice and them refusing to treat me and then refusing to let me

i am writing to file a complaint regarding the service I received from Lang towing on April 21st 2023. My vehicle was towed to your impound yard after being involved in a rollover accident. Prior to the tow, my son's inhaler and important paperwork were secured in the glove box of the vehicle.Upon retrieving my vehicle from your impound yard, we discovered that our glove box had been rummaged through and our important paperwork was left out to the elements. Additionally, our tools were missing from the vehicle, which we know were present before the vehicle was impounded. As a customer, I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by the lack of care and security given to my personal property while in your possession. This incident has caused ** undue stress and financial burden as we now need to replace the missing tools and repair the damaged paperwork.I am requesting immediate action be taken to rectify this situation. I would appreciate a prompt response regarding how this incident will be addressed and resolved.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sincerely,*************************

      Good evening,

Here is the statement from my driver who was on seen with the customer. We have a very secure yard so it is not possible for someone to steal  anything from the vehicle in our yard.

This was the driver on scene for the 2020 ****** sienna. This car was rolled over really badly and there were items all over the highway. Before rolling it over the lady asked me if she could get items from the car. I informed her that the state troopers really were pressuring ** to get it rolled over so we can be safe and not get hit. I also told her that when the car is rolled I will allow you to get any personal items. When the car was rolled over there were items flying from that car airbags were deployed doors wouldnt close it was hectic. When the car was rolled over she got as many items as she needed from the car. State patrol was on scene and assisted me into getting all items off the highway. Lang towing would not have taken anything out of the glove box with my experience. It would have had to fly off of the vehicle and could have been somewhere on the highway and she didnt notice. It was a horrible scene so the lady probably was in shock and couldnt notice or remember to look for it. --

We are attaching pictures of the vehicle for you to view.

Let me know if you need anything from **.

      Thanks

I am rejecting this response because: the pictures clearly show nothing was spilled out all the doors were clearly secure. After vehicle was rolled correctly up I personally got my insurance and my sons inhaler from the glove box and secured it after. It was after at the lot that has cameras everywhere but they didnt produce that to show this company ransack my car and left important documents out to the weather. One would expect from being in a horrific car crash I could trust the towing company to not ransack a private vehicle and their customers property.

      Sincerely,

      Good Morning Louis,

The release of this vehicle was heavily discounted to accommodate these circumstances, considering the registered owner was charged the equivalent of the scrap value of the vehicle.

per our firm's management, we're not taking liability for these supposed damages. This release was settled on 2/3/23.

      Respectfully,

Subject: Complaint against Lang Towing for unethical and unprofessional practices Dear Better Business Bureau,I am writing to file a complaint against Lang Towing for their unethical and unprofessional practices. In November.2022, my car was towed from a garage that I was paying for. Despite providing proof of payment, Lang Towing towed my vehicle without proper justification or warning. The customer service provided by ******************** was unhelpful in resolving the issue and the charges were unreasonable. The driver was also rude and unprofessional when I asked for a jump start the driver said - "We don't do that for people." Even though they had a jump pack onsite, and I paid them over $2000 already, which added to my overall negative experience with the company.I would like to bring to your attention the unethical practices of Lang Towing and request that appropriate actions be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen to other customers in the future.Thank you for your time and consideration.Sincerely,*********************

      Good Morning ******,
      Your vehicle was towed from private property per the property managers request. As the previous registered owner of the vehicle, you are liable for the fees accumulated from this impound. The following breakdown was charged on 12/5/22 8:55 AM PST;
      20 days of storage: $72.90 a day,
      Storage Costs: $1458.00
      City Impound Fee: $15.00
      2 Hours Labor - Tow/Hook Fee: $446.04
Total charges paid by customer (aftertax): $2114.20
Considering the vehicle was impounded on 11/15/2022, these rates are in compliance with the rates set by the ***************. Furthermore, the previous owner was provided notice of the impound: a vehicle impound notice and custody and sale of abandoned vehicle notice. Lang Towing impound warning signs are posted in the area.
As of 2/06/23, the vehicle was sold at public auction. The funds from the sale of the abandoned vehicle cover storage expense starting from the date the previous owner failed to remove the vehicle from our tow yard. Our firm is not pursuing a lien on the vehicle.
If the previous registered owner had paid for parking at the location of the impound then they should bring proof of parking payment alongside the impound invoice (receipt) to dispute these fees with the property manager. Unfortunately, our firm is unable to provide a refund for this service.

      Complaint: 18967779

I am rejecting this response because:

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the charges for the impound of my vehicle. The storage fees charged were significantly higher than what is allowed by the ***************. According to the ***********, tow companies are only allowed to charge up to $36.45 a day for storage, which is much less than what I was charged ~$70/Day.

Therefore, I demand a full refund of the storage fees that I was charged. As a customer, I expect your company to adhere to the laws and regulations of the city in which you operate. I am disappointed that this was not the case with my impound, and I expect a prompt resolution to this matter.
Please let me know how you intend to proceed with my refund request.

      Sincerely,

      *************************

      Good morning ******,

The charges that were paid on 12/5/2022 are in compliance with the rates set by the ***************.

The *************** has set $36.45 as the rate for every 1/2 day of storage for private impounds.

Unfortunately you are not eligible for a refund per our conversation earlier.
