    I did a book buy back program where I sent them textbooks. They were supposed to send me money for the textbooks. They sent me an email saying they received the package. The next day they sent me an email saying all the books from the buy back list were missing and they were not going to pay me. There is no way they received the package and all the books were missing. That is only possible if they received an empty box. I think they are claiming their missing so they don't have to pay me.

    On 12/9/24, I ordered two books. One was shipped the following day. I received notice that, on 12/17/24, the second (much more expensive) book was shipped. However, the tracking number said for days on end - all the way until now - that the book was never received by ****. Nor did I ever receive it at my house. I have contacted Thriftbooks multiple times requesting a refund for a product I have not received. First, they told me to wait 12 business days. Now that it has been more than 12 business days, they continue to assure me the book has shipped. It has now been almost a month since I ordered the book.

Please know that ThriftBooks does not have access to your full payment informationour system only displays the last four digits of your card for security purposes. Even upper management cannot access this information, as the safety and privacy of our customers are our top priorities.


    We have emailed you a receipt of the invoice for your recent and only order. We strongly recommend reaching out to your bank so they can investigate and help resolve this matter. We hope this helps you identify the source of the issue.

    I placed an order with Thriftbooks and paid for expedited shipping. The order has now been delayed and I will not receive it on time to take with me for the holidays.Thriftbooks REFUSES to call ***** and have the delivery address changed so that I can have my gift for my brother at the holidays. ***** states ONLY the shipper can change the delivery address, not the receiver.I am now going to have to pay to ship the book to my brother after the holidays and it is a collectible book. They are stating they are going to refund my purchase price but that does NOTHING for the stress and disappoint of not having anything for my brother for Christmas. Thriftbooks has the ability to change the delivery address with ***** yet are UNWILLING to do that. As a business they have fallen WAY SHORT on good customer service!I want compensation for having to now pay for shipping to my brother (expedited and insured). I also want compensation for the stress and GREAT disappointment of not having the book for the holidays because they LIED!! Thriftbooks has the ability to change the delivery address, yet they REFUSE TO DO SO!!!

    On December 6th, I ordered a book from **************************. The book was only available in new condition, and I paid $19.10 for the book. **** I added the item to my cart, the item page read that the item ships within 24 hours, and still reads such (screenshot provided of selling page.) **** I went to complete my checkout, again the shipping time was advertised as 8-12 days for delivery, and up to 48 hours for processing (screenshot provided.) **** I had not received notice that the item had shipped, I reached out to Thriftbooks' customer service team to check on the order on December 11th. Thriftbooks replied that "New" condition items have a 7-10 processing time before they ship. This was confirmed by two representatives (email chain transcript provided.) My complaint is that Thriftbooks' website does not mention the additional processing times for new books, only longer delivery times (screenshot of their shipping FAQ provided.) Knowing that the book would take longer to process AND deliver would have changed my decision to order from Thriftbooks. I feel that Thriftbooks' current advertisement of shipping times is therefore misleading, and would like them to update their website to better reflect accurate expectations for product arrival dates.

    Hello I have ordered seven items from thriftbooks and got an email stating that my order would be shipped into shipments.I am in the middle of catching their mistake and they are purposely missing two items so that I can not get my full order I will not allow this to happen.I will not allow shady business practices to ruin my shopping experience with thriftbooks There are seven complete items and I have counted all seven in the original screenshot the second screenshot states that only five of my items will be shipped I will not allow this and it needs to be corrected as soon as possible or I will complain.I will not tolerate items missing from any of my orders

    On Nov 26, 2024 I ordered two books from Thrift Books Global. I immediately received an email confirming my order and on the following day received an email stating my order was being processed and they would email me with tracking information. When I had not heard from them by Dec. 7th I attempted to look up my order on their site. First I was obligated to create an account to see my order which seems like coercion. When I found my order it showed my money had been refunded without further explanation. I emailed Thrift Books support to find out why my money had been refunded and received an email saying they owed me an apology. That their 'Fraud' software had canceled my order through no fault of my own. I emailed again and asked why I hadn't been informed, that these books were Christmas gifts. I received a form email explaining how to track my order but not responding to my question.

    I placed an online order and called to cancel within the hour. The representative I spoke with contacted her supervisor who told me the item was from a third party customer so the order was not showing up in the system. They said they noted my account to cancel the order and it will cancel when it shows up. 2 hours later I got a email saying it had been sent for processing of shipment. I called back and this time spoke with another customer service representative who told me they didn't have any record of my call. They said they couldn't cancel the order. This company is dishonest and try to steal peoples money. I asked for a refund and she said she would do one. I asked for a confirmation number and email and she said they don't provide any of that. They have poor communication, dishonest business practices and lack of transparency.

    I ordered a book from Thriftbooks on 10/08/24, order #********. The wrong book arrived and I followed Thriftbook's procedure for returning the book and having my credit card credited. On 10/18/24, I received and email from Thriftbooks stating that the returned book had been received and that I would get a refund in 2-5 business days. As of 12/08/24, I have still not received my refund.

    I placed an order for an item on November 12th; however, due to the Canada Post strike the item has not been delivered and on the tracking information page of **** the item was to be returned to the sender. I reached out to ThriftBooks in an attempt to resolve the issue and have it shipped via a different courier at my own expense. I was informed that due to internal policies, which are not present on the website, that the item returned to ThriftBooks could not be reshipped to the customer. During the chat with the agent all of my suggestions to ensure the delivery of this item were rejected by the agent and I was told to leave a negative review following the chat. The circumstances regarding the return of my item were not due to either myself or ThriftBooks, but due to the current Canada post strike. I have always afforded ThriftBooks my business whenever possible and have spoken highly to friends and colleagues, but due to the absolute unprofessionalism of their agent I am filing this complaint.
