I originally inquired about a 2015 ***** accord. When I went to the dealership to go look at the car I was told the bank is not finance the car because its a rebuilt title. As that was not clearly stated in the listing on their website. I then found another car, I white ***** accord, I was shown carfax which later after the transaction I found out I was shown the wrong carfax for the vehicle. As I was driving the vehicle down to the reservation for tax exemption purposes I made a stop. As I had turned the vehicle off and got back in the car would start. One of the employees was following me down to the reservation in a different car, so he ended up coming to me to see what the issue was with the car. When we popped the hood we noticed that the terminals to the battery were totally disconnected. So he took the car back to the dealership. That night I looked up the *** and come to find out the car I had just purchased had been in multiple car accidents at which point the airbags deployed at one point. Which if the bank had known this they wouldnt have financed. I was told I could get out of the loan but into a different car. Which I got into a 2020 ****** Camry with less then ****** which ended up having to engine problems. They said I had a manufacturer warranty. I took the car to ****** where they had an engineer of ****** come down and verified that the engine itself had been removed from the car which voided the manufacturer warranty. They continued to tell me that no it still has a manufacturer warranty when in fact it did not. They told me there was nothing they could do and that I couldnt get out of the loan. They said you have an extended warranty and we can fix the issue, but we cant guarantee it will be covered by your extended warranty. So I ended up trading the vehicle at a different dealership having to eat $14k in negative equity.Business Response

Dear ****** R and/or To Whom It May Concern at the BBB
Good evening, I hope all is well with you. We recinded the vehicle transaction on the 2015 ***** Accord which satisfied **************** at that time. We were made aware of the diagnosis from ****** of Olympia by *********************;Landon on/or around 04/28/2023. Ms. Landon dropped off her vehicle for First National Fleet and Lease to perform due diligence on the concerns noted on the Repair Order by ****** of Olympia. We had an independent repair facility confirm the findings and to verify that the manufacturer had in fact declined the repair(s) only to the transmission, but the balance of the manufacturer's warranty was still in force. As part of the transaction, Ms. Landon purchased an *********************************** Contract. We assured her that we would assist her in the claim process to cover the repair the issue(s), that the manufacturer declined or explore other options. On the following Monday, May 8th, 2023, she picked up her vehicle and returned our loaner with no other contact for a resolution. We were not made aware of any Engine Issues at that time or if **************** wanted to trade-in the 2022 ****** Camry SE. If she chose to trade the vehicle in at another dealership, that was her choice. FNFL would have no responsibility or obligation to compensation on a purchase made with another dealership. Thank you in advance. If you have any questions, comments, need further information or assistance, please reply to this email. For immediate attention, call, or text to **************.

Dear *****************************************,
This vehicle was SOLD to Freedom ***** and ***************************** on May 04th, 2023 and was financed with ***************************** (OCCU) for the Sale Price, plus tax, license, doc fees and a Service Contract with ONLY $ ****** cash down for an extended term. The vehicle was purchased at the height of the used vehicle market period in 2023.
At the customer's request, he/she is able to obtain a CARFAX Vehicle History Report Request any time before the transaction is finanized. The customer is also *********** perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection at thier request, under the same conditions. Even though there is just above Moderate and Minor Damage Reported, the vehicle is considered to have no reported major state title brands, such as Salvage or Insurance Destroyed, and in fact, CARFAX, if qualified, even provides a Buyback Guarantee. We are a CARFAX Certifed Dealer, the vehicle history report provided by the customer is AutoCheck by Experian, who also has a similar consideration. There is no requirement that a seller/dealer to perform open recalls prior to selling the vehicle. The ultimate retail purchaser, at thier option, can have the Manufacturer of the vehicle perform the recall at no charge.
Depending on market conditions at the time, equity position, interest rate, extened finance term, etc, if you try and trade in or sell your vehicle with minimum tenature or ownership, the value of the vehicle often times with be less then what is owed on the vehicle. The consumer will pay a bigger portion of thier payment to the financial institution interest in the earlier term of thier loan then the latter part, thus having a negative equity position in most cases.
